I have been reading Steve Jobs' bio -- the more I read, the more I like who he was, what he stood for. Anyhow, this just STRUCK me -- from the ad campaign when Jobs returned to Apple, written, in part, by him:

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. The guy did what he needed to do to get to the top, don't kid yourself. He stole ideas from Xerox in the early days and took credit for them. I-Pods and I-Phones are made in China by workers, many of them young children, under substandard conditions. So much for being a man of integrity.

Whatever you think of Steve Jobs he was a very interesting person and I really liked him. He did nothing more than what other business men do and will always continue to do. I spent time in India and other third world countries and if you think children arent in those factories, think again. Dont forget it is all about the buck. I think the saying for most CEOs, etc should be whatever it takes. That is going on around the world not just here and not just Steve Jobs. He was most assuredly his own person.

READ MY POST AGAIN! I did not say he was a man of integrity. I merely said he was interesting! I liked his ideas -- he was a rebel..he dared to march to his own drum beat. The quote I posted is the reason I joined the lawsuitl.

If the situations that brought on the lawsuit do not apply to you, then why waste your time here?

IMHO, humans have a habit of acting human and being imperfect. Steve Jobs may not have been perfect. But his philosophy does apply to us.

One of the points of filing a lawsuit is to redefine our own human worth and not allow other humans to stomp us down, as they will when allowed to do so.

I just emailed the law office. I was one who had a really rough time and pretty much went broke while waiting for work and ended up leaving after 3 months of hell. Long story short, I have everything still, including all emails and will be forwarding them ASAP.

Don't know what all the fuss is about. If you do your job well, right the first time, you've got no worries. I don't foresee that this will be interfering with me whatsoever! First want to say I am so sorry for all MT's/QA who were laid off. How terrible, yet I feel it could be a blessing in disguise because you can get unemployement and TAA and go back to school and get out of this field. I highly, highly suggest IMEDX does the right thing, or some money grubbin attorney will be glad to take on not on IMEDX's obvious and blatant playing with lives, but also the whole industry. I am curious as to if the TLs are meeting their requirements. They are expected to type 75-80% of their time and get paid by the line as well . I am very suspicious that they are not typing VR all day, having their work sent to India, etc, and are getting the straight typing. They get paid a flat fee per month for their administrative duties on top of that. I wonder if they are experiencing no work and looking at a blank screen most of their time& ...

I have read dozens of posts on the board about Transcend, some good and a lot not so good. However, I think there is an explanation for some MTs loving it there and others hating it so much. Transcend is a company made up of many other companies through mergers. The original Transcend who existed first, before acquiring other companies seems to be the problem. I was with the company for over five years, not once failing to meet the requirements of me yet I was told my position would have to change to 2nd or 3rd shift if I wanted to keep my job as there were no positions available for 1st shift. Did anyone else get the memo from Transcend (soon to take over from DTS) about the line rate change for the transitioning employees from DTS? It was elegantly written, but basically it said that when the accounts are switched over the VR that the line rates will decrease but productivity will increase and no cut in pay is expected.
