been in the business a very long time and need to move on. i know a lot of people are not happy here. I have read those threads. I would like to know if this company is a bad idea or not.

The ones who are happy are the ones getting fat by screwing MTs, constant NJA, constant wage erosion - impossible dictators, crap platform, crap VR

Don't be surprised when the next reveal this fall includes more salary enhancements that in reality are really cuts greased up with their greasy incense oil to hide the stink.

If you want more Nuance is an underhanded ugly company who looks for ways to take money from American MTs and put more in management pockets.

If you want even more, Nuance has created a monopoly by buying multiple American companies with American accounts and ships a lot of American work to India which impacts the American economy negatively.

I am okay here as I feel that most of my complaintrtery/discontent relate to the industry as a whole and not just Nuance. I have just chosen to stay with the devil I know.

"Complacent" or "beaten into submission" - are words that might work.

I am also happy at Nuance and have had no problem in 5 years. My frustration also is with the industry and totally incompetent nurses who dictate such horrendous errors that threaten patient safety. Half of them can't even pronounce a medication. It totally burns me up how careless they are...and all this texting while dictating now. These doctors forget what they dictated and miss stuff. It's insane! I guess I am one of the few who are happy there. The pay is good. I have benefits for only $100 a month. I work hours that work good for me. If I don't make money, it's nobody's fault but my own for being too distracted or tired some days and other days, one bad dictator after another. Each day is different. I really think a lot of complaints about Nuance are misdirected.

My issues with Nuance are directly due to the nature of penalties inflicted on the MT and the low rate of pay for a VR program that is awful. I can transcribe faster than edit this VR that is supposed to be learning. VR does not learn and is getting worse dropping whole phrases of good dictators and punctuation at the end of a sentence, particularly at the end of dictation.

Doctors and nurses primary job is not to dictate and I can give them a pass before I give the Nuance greedy managers and CEOs a pass who make money from my work while looking for excuses and ways to lower my pay even more while shipping work to India.

The middle management is also annoying with their cheer-leading for their "team" and scolding for not meeting Nuance impossible (crazy) goals of LPH, QA, audits etc.

Amazing.

I think your complaints are misdirected and that may be why you are "happy". People justify bad situations all the time and misdirect their anger. There have always been bad dictators but the pay has been more rewarding when doing them. Pay is just above minimum wage at times due to Nuance over-staffing accounts.

It depends on if you are working for Nuance or Accentus Ambulatory. It's very difficult to make minimum wage working for Accentus. Most of the dictators are ESL and very hard to understand. Even the English speaking dictators are bad.

I filled out a "profile" at Nuance a few weeks ago, not sure if I was interested in a job there or not. I was contacted a week later with a couple of offers pending passing their test. So much negativity on this board. Is anyone happy here? I can say that I am grateful for my job here at Nuance. I don't feel the QA is out to get me. My mistakes are my mistakes. Work is there. My TSM is wonderful. I get good PTO hours. I have had some bad QA weeks and have been frustrated but I have sat down and focused on how to make this better. I've been at TTS for almost 3 years and I have nothing but positive things to say about TTS. I never have to guess what TTS expects from me, and I do my best to deliver that on a consistent basis.
