Does anyone working for FutureNet get enough work to make a decent check and how do you do it?

When I can, I pretty much babysit the system and work as many hours a day as I can, 7 days a week. When there is work, nothing else gets done at my home. Honest. A paycheck comes first. I don't have a social life to speak of. I'm fried around the edges. It's no way to live.

But, I've found that the same thing is happening at many other companies. They over hire and there's not enough work to go around, even when we have a contract indicating our designated shift.

This business has gone straight to hell.

As my hospital eliminated my inhouse position after 32 years, I feel lucky to get any work at all. I have to sit by my PC all day and goal is $200 a week. I have no MT work from them anymore, just SR editing. Good luck to you and let me know if I can help. It would be great if we could all get MT work again!

If so, that's a shame that they can't compete today with all the big MTSOs. YOG was a joy to work with.

There was a posting on here from Rita Smith 5 years back, and she was still the person to contact in 2012.

YOG was certainly better than anything out there now, although I didn't appreciate it at the time.

As far as I can tell, some of the office people are still there from YOG days. There are others who are newer. Not sure about all the owners or IT people, as one doesn't ever get a list of those people. The company is definitely more about building platforms and selling them to hospitals and other companies than they are about being a transcription service these days. Just look up their website and that's obvious.

I have been unemployed for about a year now. MQ took over my hospital and thus the entire transcription department was eliminated. Even the union could not keep this monster out. About 15 of us lost our careers. I have looked into several positions and cannot find any company that will pay me even 80% of what I am taking home on unemployment benefits!!! I cannot even get ONE decent report where I don't have to change every second word. Most of the time I end retyping the whole report because the ASR is so poor. Hi, I seem to struggle with line counts (a few years into MTing). Some accounts I am fine with and some very slow. Because of the nature of the work (and working from home), I have no way to gauge if the faster accounts are just abnormally easy or the slower accounts are abnormally hard. - Do you all (who have decent line counts) feel like you are moving like a mad person or just moving along at a decent pace? Okay, so today if I did 1320 lines and sent 93 lines to QA, which was only 2 reports all day. Wow it adds up fast! This is more than 5% for today (not sure exactly what % but I'm sure it's over 5%). I'm pretty sure this is an average day. So, I'm still confused about how much we get docked.....will I get paid 3 cents less a line for EVERY line starting when I first go over 5% in any given week, which will be the FIRST day?
