searches for recipes, emails recipes, describes recipes, gives us history lessons about recipes, uploads family photos, emails family photos, etc. In other words, she never has time to do her job. She has never said she'll work side by side us when we're busy. Actually, I don't think she's able to do that, and that is really a moot point anyway because there is NO WORK. She and her crafty COM have figured out a way to keep all of us from achieving the weekly bonus. That's apparently the new MO of Nuance. Keep us at minimum wage with no bonus. The new COM has screwed up everyone's profile and hired too many people. It has NEVER been this bad.

IMHO, I can say from what I see on my end what they do NOT do...one thing they aren't doing is coordinating work flow properly. How they can get away with keeping OT open and allowing people to continue working the OT on the account when there is very little work and those that are scheduled to be on working are sending emails stating there is no work and they are being told to go work on another account. But then again, that would make our chances of receiving more lines better and less account specific errors because we wouldn't be flipping between account specifics with so many differences! Silly me :/
What they don't do - Anon

To add to your above, what I notice they do not do IMHO is deal with the cherry pickers. Every single day, the same thing, no matter who many times it is brought to their attention. All they do is send out a general email telling everyone, not the ones responsible, but everyone, not to do that, that it isn't fair. We all know who has the ability to pick and choose way down the list....
What we do... - TSM

We chase after the MLS who think it's a game to play hide and seek.
We monitor TAT and have to provide an explanation on why we failed to meet it and report on why each job lost TAT and where (MLS/QA).
We monitor FIesa and have to report why we're below benchmark goals.
We type when you don't show up and don't answer your phone.
We monitor LPH and report on why we're failing to meet it.
We're providing you with the tools you need for the above so we all can succeed.
We're answering emails and calls from you on account specs, jobs you need help deciphering, and whatever else you're having problems with.
Some of us take this job very seriously and spend 10-12 hour days trying to get it all done. I guarantee you're making more per hour than I am. I also don't get paid extra when I type.

I will say that my TSM and TLs do this exact same thing. They are amazing at what they do and are always there to help. I sometimes wonder if they ever sleep or eat. It all depends on which account/region you are in. Some are good and some are not so good. I have been lucky to wind up in good regions with amazing TSMs and TLs.

TSMs and TLs - anonymous

I really take offense to your remarks. The TSMs and TLS (of which I am one) work very hard each and every day. There is not enough room here to list all of my duties, but some of them include answering stupid questions by lazy MTs who do not know their account specifics, are too lazy to look at them to find the answers, and are too lazy to search the internet for any blanks they may need to fill in. Before you judge us, walk a mile in our shoes. Saying that all TSMs and TLs play games or plan their vacations while you are pounding away is the same as me saying that all MLSs are lazy!
I take offense to you calling MTs lazy - OP

I take offense to you calling MTs lazy. I also think you are replying to the wrong post. I am the OP and I did not say anything about TSMs and TLs playing games or planning vacations. The question I asked was what do they do all day besides send out ridiculous emails. I have no idea what the job duties are for either TSM or TL except what I have observed and that is why I asked. I thought answering a question related to account specifics was one of the duties. If it isn't, what are your duties? If you didn't realize, TSMs and TLs are always sending out emails about TAT, if we have to stop and search for something through 70+ pages of account specs for several minutes (yes, my primary has 70+ pages of specs), that could mean those precious reports are going to lose TAT in that time we are searching. We also get paid on production (do you know what that is like??) so we do not have time to waste searching through 70+ pages of nit picky account specs because that could mean our electricity gets shut off that month. We are far from lazy. We're just trying to do our job to the best of our ability and make it through one more month despite dwindling paychecks and poor working conditions.
Nuance was the most horrific place I ever worked - My TSM was evil
I actually went to MModal and it is like HEAVEN compared to Nuance. If that gives you a clue as to how bad Nuance is. I had 4 TSMs during my time there and only 1 of them was human. I wasn't lazy and the only time I emailed my TSM was to request a day of or a dispute and every time I was IGNORED.
Well, I found out today that some former TSMs were let go. I thought I'd feel better about one. I thought I'd giggle and be happy someone stuck it to her for once. But then I thought...huh, I don't. I really don't. Because regardless of how I personally felt about her, she got the job done, and without so much as a blink, she is without insurance or income. The other? She was a gem. She was knowledgeable and hard working, and sh ...
I've "worked" just about every holiday, and every time I'm told I have to keep checking back, keep checking back, keep checking back when we've run out of work (even though our new policy says otherwise). But where is my TSM? I've gone through a couple of those, too, but each time they are no where to be found on a holiday!
Must be nice!
I am so tired of this crap.

Sorry for anyone losing their job, but fair is fair. They have taken from the MTs until we are scraping the scum off the bottom of the barrell. If this company so badly needs to shave costs, let them do so at the expense of other job categories rather than all MTs.
Most companies tend to be management heavy and reductions on that level, whether it be jobs or cutting benefits, reductions in wages, etc. let it happen. They can't take any more from us. We all wor ...
The la-dee-dah attitude of the e-mail updates makes me cringe!
"Keep smiling!"
"Let’s do our best to help keep things humming along!"
Know this: Us MTs are NOT "smiling" and things AREN'T been "humming along." Maybe if our concerns were addressed instead of being swept under the rug in the hopes that ignoring them will make them disappear, we wouldn't all be so PISSED today.
Get a clue. JEEZ.

...they probably realize that it's completely anonymous. So watching us all agonize over the current situation when just ONE of them could easily come on using a pseudonym and give us some idea about what is going on or give some insight as to how the decisions are being made ... if there is something we can do at this point to help us get on firm ground (or, have the decisions already been made?) would help some of us sleep at night.

As more and more MTs lose their jobs to offshoring, I don't think the TSMs are realizing that they are becoming expendable quickly too - No US MTs mean no US supervisors. The hospitals and clinics will have to talk to India to complain about their reports, dial 1 for English (sort of) and then hold for the next available representative for the next 20 minutes. I hope I get to see the day when MModal stock crashes. ...

told to clock in at beginning when scheduled. If no work, clock out. Then it states to check back EVERY 30 minutes. If there is work clock in and begin working. When there are no more jobs clock out. Keep doing this until end of shift. Isn't this requiring us to be available for 8 hours but unpaid (most likely)? Doesn't this even go against MModal's current policy on no work available? ...

we're told internet outage is not acceptable reason not to work and to find alternative such as WiFi, etc. in a not so nice tone. Shouldn't they be required to know company policy before taking on their position? ...
Just googled my former TSM ("former" because I got laid off in August) and on her Facebook page she is down as Compliance Program Director at MModal. This was/is the North region.
