Resigned from this horrible company! - could not be happier!

I quit with NO notice 3 months ago and sent a scathing resignation letter, the BEST thing I ever did!!! The letter I wrote was completely accurate, reason why I probably did not receive a response. I am so grateful I was able to find a job 5 minutes from my home paying me an hourly rate of $15.00. Does not sound like much but considering that my salary had steadily decreased with "Screwance", it's awesome! No stress, no crappy emails letting me know I made an error, and I am actually valued as an employee. Paid vacation, sick time, actual holidays and no weekends - I'm in heaven. My hope for the rest of you is that you are able to do the same and get away from Nuance greed!!! Good luck and if you have a chance, bolt!!!

Congratulations, how wonderful you found something! I've been trying to get out for 2 years. Hope seems to fade more with each passing day, esp since I'm in my 60s, but I'm still (trying to be) positive.

I sincerely hope you can get out and find something more rewarding with a company who actually values you! I feel so, so bad for all MLS still with Nuance or the other transcription companies, corporate greed at its finest!!! I'm thinking positive thoughts for you and ALL of the rest of the MLS.

Part of me feels guilty, because at least I have a job, and also it's probably a good lesson to experience what so many low-wage-earners are going through in this country (or an even worse scenario, in some other countries)-- it sure creates some empathy and understanding. But the other part of me is mad as all get-out, because things are so different now than "they used to be." I won't get into all that, but everybody my age knows what I mean. Did you ever see the movie "Up"? I'm starting to look like the female version of that crotchety old guy!!! LOL

I did the same thing, but it was one year ago. I got this rather threatening canned e-mail, that resignation w/o notice would make me illegible for rehire. That is exactly why I did it that way, no way would I ever want to work for this horrible company again. The only regret, that I told them I was quitting. I should have just stopped working. Good luck to you. I am still doing transcription but it is a decent company and no voice, no ESLs, no nit picking QA, etc. I am dealing with human beings!

The best way to get back at this company is to quit and leave them high and dry.

I quit a few weeks ago. Best thing ever. I now work with great people in a non-MT job making $17 an hour, no weekends or holidays and 4 weeks of vacation starting. My health is already better and I actually sleep now. No more Fiasco, QA BS and incompetent management and HR. It took me a year to find a good job. I wish you guys luck in getting out. This company is atrocious.

I worked for MQ for over 3 years, resigned last week. Not a word from anyone from MQ. I know there are a lot of comments on here about M-modal being horrible and I have to definitely agreed, it is the only VR I have used so nothing to really compare it to but cannot do many more lines per hour than I transcribe (usually about 275 lph or so), anyone willing to share how much they do on M-modal and how long the account has been on VR? Hey everybody, I just needed to vent a little bit. I started my first day on my first job, and it went absolutely horrible. I was using the Emdat InScribe platform, which seems easy enough, but they have sooo many templates that the doctor should be using and isn't. My first few reports were okay, but then everything went downhill. I'm supposed to use the templates, but half the time, I had to erase 3/4 of them because it wasn't what he was saying. Since I got laid off from Webmedx in September I've been on unemployment. I tried to work for Alltype and couldn't do it. The pay was alright but the support was awful, they just threw me into the job with no training, hardly any information on my accounts, no contact whatsoever from supervisors. Let me preface this by saying that I know that ultimately this is what we're here for, to train the systems to understand every dictator. With that being said, has anyone else noticed that some of the dictators who have been purely straight transcription for years (while all of their colleagues are on speech wreck) are now on speech as well? These are doctors that without several paragraphs stored in your expander program, there is no way you could understand what they are say ...
