Question on amount of audited reports - Nuance - Curious

I'm wondering, how many reports on average are pulled each week for audit? Does anyone find it varies, for example, they may pull 1 or 2 one week then 7 or 8 (that are all 100% accurate) the next week, but keep pulling until they find something to knock down your accuracy rating for that pay week so you end up with 12 or 13 reports audited?

I've had them pull only a couple, then pull over a dozen, and they seem to stop after the audit a report that will bring me down to 99% or below. I have worked at Nuance for over 4 years, and I have always had the required over 99% accuracy rating for the weekly bonus, now I have gotten a huge cut in pay with the new plan. I have not been able to find a consistent pattern, if it's percentage of reports or percentage of lines edited/transcribed. It doesn't seem very random or transparent to me at all.

That's the same thing I'm finding, once they knock you off the grid, they go amazingly quiet with the audits. It really is a shame they aren't consistent with the audits or how they do the audits, certainly could make our lives a lot easier if they were. Thanks for the info.

of total lines. However, last week I had 2% audited when I checked on Friday morning and had 100% QA. Later in the day, a "random" 137-line report (by an ESL) was pulled which brought my percent to 4% and it had an error (which I can't relisten to and confirm) that knocked me off the grid and dropped my pay rate for the week by 3 cents per line. I don't think it was random at all. I think it was to knock my rate down because the prior 3 weeks I had made 11 cpl. JMO.

Any document returned by a client will be automatically QA'd also. - At least on my accounts.

Furthermore, I was told to NOT submit reports for any assistance with blanks. One of my accounts permits one blank, but now if there are two, I also still submit with notes to the client.

I feel set up to fail, big time. Bypass assistance with a troublesome report so I can be immediately QA'd if the report is returned? One of the most unethical "set ups to fail" by a supervisor, imho.

Now, with the elimination of the team lead positions, I guess there will be no assistance available at all, no matter how many blanks? How smart is that?

.. we get an automatic score of 99.0%. I have one report in there on 12/3 but no reports for the pay week of 12/6-12/12, so they assigned me a score of 99.0%. TSM takes metric reports as gospel but there is no way they can be accurate with the line count and actual hours on server. I am sitting here waiting for work to trickle in. That reduces my line count and I think hours on server because I am not actually producing work that the server counts. Does anyone know or maybe even make an educated guess...how much a hospital might pay per line to have Nuance do their reports? We are guessing somewhere .12 to .15 upwards to .20/line. Of course they are claiming that this will save them all sorts of money and we'd like to know if they are really going to save as much as they think they are. Does anyone else suspect their company is fiddling with the software, thereby paying less to MTs for the same amount of work? I switched accounts last summer, within the same company, to a hospital that pays more, sure that my pay would increase. Lo and behold, I just noticed on my paycheck that I'll make about 5,000 to 8,000 less this year than last, and, if anything, I'm working more hours. Am I being audited? Lately, I have had work show up in my QA'd in box that I have not submitted, but there is no score in the score column. These aren't doctors that have previously been on 100% QA. Just got an audit report. I noticed that the subject line said re-audit. Huh? Didn't even know I was in "trouble". I am the MT who failed an audit last week by 0.15%, and, I am also the person who got dinged for "adding" the word "and" when they claim the doctor said "uh". I passed this re-audit. Wonder if I will be audited again next week. I think I have been audited 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Twice since "failing". So, I have passed 2 out of 3 audits. ...

For say a syndrome, a drug, a doctor's name/address, facility name/address, etc.? If I think I can hear the dictation correctly I do spend an extended amount of time because I KNOW I can find it. However, if it is ify as to what I am hearing or the spellings could be a dozen different things, I ususally send to QA because if I am not sure - it's probably going to end up to QA anyway. I NEVER look up a doctor's name if the first name is not dictate ...

I swear the speech engine just makes up the output as it has no resemblence to what the doctor says! We got a note stating we were making too many errors and our quality had gone down, with a side note that QAM knows we are struggling to maintain our counts, but this does not matter.
