How many reports get audited each week? - Newbie

Posted: Jan 23, 2015

I've only had 3 reports audited this week - it's my first complete week no DSP status.  How many should I expect to have audited?  I have two 100% and one 99.2.  <Fingers crossed>

Audit volume - anon

The formal answer is "anywhere from 1 report to 2% of your total lines transcribed that week." However, from what I read here, and what has happened to me, it can be as little as 1 job, and as much as 5% of my volume that week. We are told it is random, and it also depends on the account you are on, and how much the client wants QA'd per month. It's all over the place.

Looks like it is up to 2% of your total reports for the week. I do not believe it is based on total lines, it is based on number of reports.

I noticed this the past 3 weeks, because they were going over the 2% of lines for the week, but then I figured out they were dead-on for 2% of total reports.

Example: I transcribed 272 jobs this week, and they post-audited 5 of them (272 x 0.02 = 5.44)

Regardless, it is all over the place.

They will hit you hard just before the end of a quarter... - Depressed

...to prevent you from getting a bonus. They usually don't do many audits at the beginning of a quarter.

??? There aren't anymore quarterly bonuses... - do you mean they will

hit you hard at the end of the PP? ??

Umm, I think you have a chip on your shoulder - QC

Nuance would love nothing better than to pay you incentive because happy people produce more. Maybe you should stop making errors and maybe you'll get a bonus. And as a matter of fact, we do more QA and QC at the beginning of the quarter so we can mark that off of our To Do List. If you are seeing more at at the end of the quarter, then maybe we have already done all of yours and are not posting them because we are giving you the entire quarter to do better work.

Quarters - Chavera

Quarters don't matter anymore. What you you talking about? Happy people DO produce more. Demoralized people make more errors and produce less. FYI.

Umm, I think - nononuance

You need to get off the high horse you rode in on or maybe I should say the horse's ars you rode in on. Maybe you are not aware of it, but they do try to take our bonuses away from us on a regular basis. This was proven to me at the end of this last quarter. I had the same amount of audits this last quarter as I had in the past doing twice the amount of line. Three days before the end of the quarter, I qualified for the bonus, and suddenly, BOOM, here comes another audit (way over the average for the amount of lines I had done). Of course, it was one of the worst dictators, and of course, they found a major error and a couple of minor errors. I requested a reversal on all, and received 1 on the major. This gave me back the quarterly bonus. One the last day of the quarter, here comes another audit. This was 100%, and it defeated their purpose.

Do you really think that we would purposely make mistakes to lower our already low pay? Nobody is perfect, no matter how hard you try, and Nuance is going to the bank on this. NOT EVEN YOU ARE PERFECT, ALTHOUGH YOU TALK LIKE YOU AREA.

You need to go back and tell your bosses that if they don't start paying better, they are going to lose ALL of their good MTs.

This site is not for freaks who do QC - JS

How do you sleep at night? They couldn't rip us off without you.

Wow, entitled much? I hope they start - paying you on production

[ In Reply To ..]
And taking money off you when you make an error. Then you might have a glimmer of what it is like to work as an MT for Nuance.

I'm sorry, but I happen to think QA and QC and NOT superior to MTs - just different. They USED to be better, but not anymore, not now when Nuance has overhired an entire class (yes, QC, they are the ones who find idiotic errors that are blatantly non-errors so they can get points off of us) and started using them as a means to lower our MT salaries. How could anyone with a conscience do that job?

I was asked, although I don't believe it was a PROMOTION at all, I only considered it because the hourly pay would probably be more than I can make now, but once they instituted the new MT Pay Reduction Plan there is no way I would consider that.

Honestly, I have to wonder if there are incentives to "get" certain MTs because this kind of venom and holier than thou judgment is really not what I would consider a good QA mindset. Sounds like you get really excited about finding errors. Yikes.

Don't you wish... - Zeb

Don't you wish they would just stop if your first report is 100%!! I hate it when they ding me on the third or fourth report. Just stop the madness!!

Poor QA scores - Kathy

[ In Reply To ..]
The madness is that you don't do better work. Stop blaming everybody for your poor performance. Maybe you should look into another profession.

I agree we should ALL look into another profession, - BUT...not for the reason you think

[ In Reply To ..]
If a company doesn't like the quality of your work, they should FIRE you NOT dock your pay (which I think is illegal anyway). Plain and simple. This alone proves that Nuance is using this pretext of "patient safety" as a tool to line their greedy pockets.

It just amazes me to no end these occasional posts like yours.....

So Apparently For Those Of Us With No Audited Reports In FIESA....
Dec 17, 2014

.. we get an automatic score of 99.0%. I have one report in there on 12/3 but no reports for the pay week of 12/6-12/12, so they assigned me a score of 99.0%. The one report that is in there from 12/3 is higher than that. I have no idea what they base this 99.0% score on. I guess this is just a number that felt right to them, so they went with it. I'm not the only one with no audited reports for the pay week and a 99.0% score. This must be an automatic score you receive if you have no audti ...

Question On Amount Of Audited Reports - Nuance
Jan 05, 2015

I'm wondering, how many reports on average are pulled each week for audit?  Does anyone find it varies, for example, they may pull 1 or 2 one week then 7 or 8 (that are all 100% accurate) the next week, but keep pulling until they find something to knock down your accuracy rating for that pay week so you end up with 12 or 13 reports audited?  ...

How Many Post-audit Reports Are You Having Per Day/week?
Dec 25, 2014

I'm new to FIESA.  The company I was with that Nuance bought out just started using FIESA this month.  I'm having post-audits daily, as many as 5 a day.  Is that pretty much what the rest of you average?  Just curious since I've been reading the board and watching what others are saying about the new and exciting "pay" plan.  ...

Being Audited?
Dec 11, 2009

Am I being audited?  Lately, I have had work show up in my QA'd in box that I have not submitted, but there is no score in the score column.  These aren't doctors that have previously been on 100% QA.  The corrections have mostly been little picky things, things corrected to something that is not per the client protocol  such as changing the patient's name to the patient or fixing what was verbatim to a better sentence (our accounts are verbatim).  ...

Re-audited
Dec 10, 2013

Just got an audit report. I noticed that the subject line said re-audit. Huh? Didn't even know I was in "trouble". I am the MT who failed an audit last week by 0.15%, and, I am also the person who got dinged for "adding" the word "and" when they claim the doctor said "uh". I passed this re-audit. Wonder if I will be audited again next week. I think I have been audited 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Twice since "failing". So, I have passed 2 out of 3 audits. ...

QC Being Audited?

Keep hearing that QA and QC are audited also.  Anyone willing to share info on that.  I am betting there is no way they are audited as strictly as we are and who the heck audits them anyway.  they audit each other?  that's sweet.  Seriously, anyone have info on their requirements to share. I feel like they are sitting in judgment on us and have control over our wages, but we are constantly told they are monitored too.  Will have to prove it to me.  I don& ...

Jobs Sent To QC1 ARE Post-audited
Dec 01, 2013

I found out last week that jobs submitted for blanks to QC1 can still be pulled for post-audit.  You have to double check your jobs submitted for QC1 against your post-audits because if you don't catch it you can and will be marked off on your post-audit for something the QC1 or QC2 reviewers made a mistake on.  This happened to me and it was reversed but my TSM told me they have no way of knowing which jobs have been to QC when they pull them.  Then you also have to make sur ...

99.7% Versus Number Of Lines Audited
May 07, 2014

Anybody know if there is a "standard" for number of lines to be audited on?  All of my audits have been for under 200 lines.  I never pass.  It seems to me that if you sample such a small number, you are more likely to have errors and thus fail an audit.  Are each of us being held to different standards as far as lines audited?  Are some people audited on 500 or 600 lines and others to a smaller number?  If we have to be held to 99.7%, shouldn't there be a cons ...
