Does anybody know how many days of live training we have to have? And is it a certain number of hours? I have class two days a week that it could interfer with, and I'm just wondering if I should wait until the semester is over to do it.

It may depend upon the platform for which you were hired. Most of my tranings were recorded classes. I liked that becasue they were thorough and self-paced. My live training was about 2 hours. And then a little live training on account specs with my manager once I was ready to start production work. Training is fairlyflexible.

...account specifics, if it is live with your TSM, will take only about a half hour. That may be on a different day than your main live training with the trainer.

I'm confused about your post. Are you currently - working for Nuance or SM

are you just hired and haven't started yet? Are you asking to if you should put off your start date until after the semester? Just curious.

I wasn't sure if the live training was going to be 3-4 hours long or longer. I have class Mon/Wed 12-2 p.m. If it's only an hour or two at a time, I should be able to pull it off.

Nuance offered me a position, but I was holding off to see what the live training was like. I didn't want to accept the job and then have all kinds of conflicts with the training.

It has to be done through the ENRICH portal correct?? I haven't received my official login info and was already contacted by my TL to see how far along in training I was. Am I the only one who is brain-dead from going through this training???? This has got to be the worst training I have ever gone through and I have been an MT for over 25 years. Is anybody else overwhelmed by the exhaustive training program provided by Nuance? I just went through this and really had a hard time uploading their videos and getting into all the programs. Also the fact that they do not help too much. Maybe I am just slow as I am getting up there in age. It does make a difference when you are older. Every day ASR gets increasingly of base. There are so many times when I have to sit and search each line looking for anything that remotely resembles what is being clearly dictated. It started out with maybe 35% accuracy before editing. Now it barely makes 20%.
