Nuance med insurance. Can you tell me who they use - and is there a large deductible. TIA

We will be getting info about insurance for next year in November. Whatever they have now may change, may not.

Do you know who it is through as of right now? Is it true - PT is eligible? Weighing options now.

BCBS now. Deductible is huge. Price ok for ind, but forget - family rate. Not sure about PT as I am FT. (nm)

medical/dental, 401K, PTO. There is also a plan available for those working 20 or 25+ hours (not sure which) but didn't look very good to me.

Individual rate is about $56 for medical per pay period. Family rate is RIDICULOUS.

From what I was told, we are supposed to be getting better coverage starting in January with copay for doctor visits and meds and emergency room visits. I do not know if there is a lower deductible, but I sure hope so!

The ONLY plan you can have now is one where you pay 100% of the cost until you hit your deductible, and then after that you pay 20-25% and the insurance company pays the other 75-80%. The deductible is $2500 per person or $7500 per family.

I think certain preventive care medicine office visits are covered 100%.

That doesn't sound great. Is there prescription benefit - do you know? Thanks for info.

If you are looking for benefits. Try MModal. Interviewed today - with them. Cost and plan is actually good.

I was pleasantly surprised. It's sad to have to leave Transcend after 11 years and being sold off to the highest bidder under the guise of this being a good thing for all.

Nuance better change their plan, because no one can afford a 2500 deductible working for them - MTgirl

Okay we HAD to change our insurance when Nuance bought us out...and it was horribly expensive with a $2500 deductible. They changed us in January, and I have just met that deductible. Please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I have heard this insurance plan (BC/BS?) does not cover primary care office visits until you reach a 2500 dollar deductible, no copay anymore, paying for the whole visit?? I thought all insurance companies had us pay a copay, not the whole cost of the office visit. What about prescriptions, do we pay the full price for them now too, or is it still about a 15 dollar copay? I am left wondering how they got this kind of insuranc ...

Already in shock at the high insurance rates, wondering how anyone could afford them with the high deductibles and co-pays, and got an e-mail that my zip code is out of their area and so my rates would be DOUBLE!!! According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...
