I made minimum wage for the past 2 weeks. Tell me again why I work for this company? I can now look for a job doing any stupid thing, anywhere, and not have to take a pay cut. Isn't that terrific?

Is this a bad dream??? No, this is actually my life, having done this work for 25 years. Maybe just a little better training, and I might catch on and start making the real $$$ :-(

My paycheck has never been this low. What do they expect us to do? Sit on a street corner and beg for handouts? If this company had as much of a desire to help their employees as they say they do, we might be able to make a go of it. I have 26 years of transcription experience and I've never seen the profession as a whole in such terrible shape.

There really doesn't need to be any more conversation here of "if this company had" fill in the blank (positive attribute). It doesn't. My analogy for what this company is might not make the cut for acceptable on this board. It has 4 letters, starts with a 'p' ends with a 'p', and we're their little _____.

No one will ever be able to comprehend how much I despise this company. Nuance is the undoing of the AMERICAN medical transcription industry.

I also despise the corrupt lawmakers who allow AMERICAN medical records to be sent to India which takes away jobs from AMERICANS and further deteriorates our economy.

Ditto! Have only worked here 6 months as my first remote-based transcription job. Have worked in house for many years. Was completely disillusioned with the industry and my "lack of talent (which I thought was the problem)" in not being able to make more than minimum wage, much less incentive. TWO CENTS PER LINE! I know I am capable and talented, as of finding reviews about this company yesterday, and am planning on moving on!!!! BTW--yeah, today's payday, but a LOUSY paycheck.

What's this 2 cents per line stuff? - I may have to hasten my exit strategy.

My pay is just above minimum wage in my state (which is around $5 hour) with 98% editing. I have requested a copy of my employment contract to verify, but have not got a response yet. The link to my online contract has long expired. I am going off memory of how my pay changed, as I started on a straight transcription account, and about 2 or 3 months (not being informed) the account went straight Dragon and editing, hence the 2 cents.

If US MTs are getting 2cpl, I wonder what - India gets now? 0.004 cpl? Gad.

I used to look forward to payday. Until, that is, - I started working for an MTSO.

Then I dreaded it because it was so depressing to know I'd worked so hard, for so many hours per day, and what I got for all that hard work wouldn't even pay my bills for that two weeks.

I'm unemployed now, but at least I'm not depressed anymore.

Had a shock when I looked at my line count - Radiology MT

On a radiology account where I was getting paid by the job (and not enough work, at that), I discovered a statistics page with daily line count and saw that I had typed about 1500 lines that day (I forget the exact amount, but close enough). My job count was 70 at about $1.10 per job (not the exact amount but close enough). I got paid around $77 to type 1500 lines. It happens to be an account with long-winded doctors and a cherry picker who was getting the shorter jobs.

It was one of the main reasons I quit - I knew I wasn't earning enough and didn't know why until I saw that page. I realize that that line count may have included headers or whatever, but still...it was quite the eye-opener.

So, decided to rip the band-aid off early and check on my paycheck in Ultipro. After deducting my pto pay and using actual hours, production pay, Now at just over $8/hr. I just started, but the date I got was today for payday, yet it is not in my bank. They told me I do not have to wait for direct deposit, that it is right off the bat (rather than waiting the usual two checks or so with any other place). I got an email from HR today that my husband was 'accidentally' added back on my insurance. Note that he has not been on my insurance for almost a year. How this happened I have no idea. MAJOR VENT. My paycheck from MQ was deposited into my account today and it just sent me into a panic.
