How about a 700+ LPH rate? - Yep

On a report to us today that someone had a 700+ LPH rate. When I questioned it, I was told that they didn't know how that could be either, it was on the management report they got.

THAT is the very reason why I don't trust these reports they shove at us, I won't even look at them anymore. I'm glad I'm done with this place in just a few more days.

As I've said so many times before....this company was NEVER a transcription company. They are a SOFTWARE COMPANY. They developed the SOFTWARE that is ruining our lives. When they noticed so many hospitals eating it up for their dictation, this company decided to "cash in" on the transcription part of it by forming their own transcription branch and making the hospitals believe that since THEY developed the software, then they should be the best at training the MTs on it and eventually getting it perfected so well, the hospitals wouldn't need MTs anymore.

Think about it. THAT is the reason these people don't have a clue how to manage a transcription company, they have no clue about what we really do and how we do it (nor do they CARE), and we are the gum on the bottoms of their shoe because we are now disposable to them.

LOL You would have to listen to 70 minutes in 60 minutes or have nothing but fill in the blank templ - clueless nm

my best week ever I did 37 hours of audio in a 40hr week, think I barely hit 13000 lines.

700 lph might be possible for a few hrs a day on a few ER-only template-heavy accounts, but jaysis, not consistently... wtf.

even just a TSM, if I saw a figure like that, I would question it. And, I would certainly want an answer from SOMEONE before I sent it out to my MTs. This will be the second time I've questioned those charts and where the figures come from. I'm convinced in my own mind that they manipulate those figures themselves to reflect what they want reflected, nothing more, nothing less.

Sounds like someone got a nicely padded paycheck. Reminds me of this douche bag couple that bought a business with stolen govt. money, then the man's wife drew "retirement" of $10,000 a month out of the company and never worked there a single day.

one second that it's possible. Ergo, I don't believe ANY of the reports and charts and crap they throw at us, goading us to do better, get that percentage down or up, you're making too many errors, critical errors, major errors, even your own LPH. I believe each and every one of these reports and charts are bogus.

It seems so many out here in MT-Land are so distraught over these figures...I'm saying don't let it get to you because they are FAKE. JMHO.

Someone who can type 1300+ LPH!!!!! WOW!!!! Super flying fingers!! And even more incredible?? Nobody that I know of has questioned this LPH rate either.

I recently read a job posting that required 150 lph for straight type and 225 for VR - Does this make sense ? These companies are using the excuse that we should be able to produce "twice as many lines" with VR - thus - HALF the pay. If QC is over 10%, then the pay is 7/3.5 pennies a line. If it's that amount and the speed is just about 100 lines or a little over that an hour, I think that would amount to below minimum wage, wouldn't it? So I think the 7/3.5 pennies a line pay rate automatically is equivalent to MUP--unless the MT is very speedy. 7/3.5 pennies a line pay rate is pretty ridiculous. During this transition time I was trying to decide between IC status and employee status. I was doing this because I thought that being an IC would save my 1/2 cpl decrease that you get with employee status. However, in my packet, my rate is now 9 cpl, down the 1/2 cpl as mentioned, but the choices were still FT, PT or IC.
