Average line rate at Nuance (sm) - Wondering

With our new line rate starting Saturday, if we do over 12,500 lines we get increase of 2 cpl, means 2500 lines a day or about 320 lines an hour. Do many of you do this many lines an hour now?

I can edit about 400-450 depending on the difficulty of the account and can type 250-275 depending on the same. Unfortunately, a large part of my main account is still straight typing because there's a lot of required headings that must be in a certain order and the doctors don't dictate them in order, which throws the VR off. So, basically, yes I can reach those numbers with editing, but I still don't get the 2 cpl incentive because I don't get much editing. Since even if I get the 2 cpl incentive it is still a pay cut for me as a former Transcender, I really, really wish I could.

I can do more than 320 lines an hour some of the time but there is always something that slows me down. I have made that line count one time in 2 years.

If I have straight VR yes I could but the account that I am on now is half and half so I can't get there now and I also don't push as hard as I once did. No point sometimes it seems. Today was one of those days where it was a struggle just to stay in my chair and type. I hate days like today

I find that lately my days of being able to sit for long periods and are fewer and fewer. I get so antsy, almost feels like "restless body syndrome!" And I'm tired of pushing it. I'm fortunate enough to work for a decent company (for a little while longer, until the gobbling up is complete) so I'm getting a bit easier on myself lately.

That's good. Today is much better then yesterday but there are days where I just cannot seem to sit and other days I do fine. My problem is if I get up I tend to start doing stuff which I need to not do until later but I still get a decent line count. If I were to stay glued to the computer all day I would do really good. Unfortunately I just don't have that drive anymore

I'm re-applying to MQ as I desperately need a job. My question is, are you all able to make at least $10.00 per hour still?? I ask because in searching around, it looks like $10.00 is the best I'm going to be able to do. Just wondering, what is an Average line count per hour for an MT? I worked in a pathology office for almost 5 years, but we never kept count of lines per hour. When a company states a line rate for a "65 printable character line" does that mean they do not pay for spaces? I saw an ad saying they pay the highest in the business, which was about 8.5 cents for 65 printable character line. That to me says without spaces, as it is not a printable character, so that would be a horrible rate surely not one of the best in the business. Wonder why there is no respect for our thumbs !!!! ...

I know a lot of us wonder what the reason is for PT status MTs to lose 1/2 cpl. We have been told that it is because at some point we could possibly switch to FT. I was told that if they have to keep supplementing your paychecks to get you to mini wage then they will have to take action. What is the logic here? On the accounts that I work on I have yet to break 160 lines an hour and mostly stay around 150. I swear it just can't be done.
