MModal HAS to be in the Top 10 of the worst companies to work for.  Got the email saying we MUST work our scheduled hours, only 2 MTs allowed on per account per day, 2 weeks notice if asking for days off, a month's notice if more than 5 days, no changing hours around unless approved in advance.  And yet, HERE I SIT . .  . just like I did on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday . .  . sat down to work my scheduled hours and  . . . I have NO WORK!  Talk about one-sided!  So now, I have to change my hours around . .  . hmmmm, funny, no one asked ME in advance to change my hours today because I'd have no work.

not new. I realize we all come here and vent, but it really is not anything new. You only have work if you are in India and it will get worse. The best thing you can do is file for UE while you are looking for another job, out of this field. None of it is funny, but this is the way it is. They don't care, the government doesn't care that all US jobs (in and out of this field) are going offshore. Heck, the government even ships work offshore. Not that it will help, but everybody needs to start writing your politicians "telling" them they need to do something to keep jobs here in this country. It is not illegal what they are doing. It is all about profit and as long as our government keeps it profitable to do it, these companies will not stop doing it. Sorry for your pain and frustration, but we are all feeling it and right now there is nothing we can do.

I tried to get a group together years ago to start lobbying when all this off shore crap started..I got about 14 people, we need so many more. So like good little sheeple, we will march to slaughter. I am so close to retiring, I hate to make a move, but if I have to, I have to.

why this job has become a free-for-all. When I was hired (bought out), one of the suits flat out lied and said MM was so big, they could never run out of work.

Here's the deal: No, I am not changing my schedule at your whim any more. No, I'm NOT signing verbal or written warnings for my record. My plan B is well in place now, and if you need to can me, go ahead.

We are like frogs in boiling water now. They are turning up the heat slowly and expecting a certain number of the frogs to stay until they are boiled. Sorry, this little froggy has already jumped.

I actually wouldn't mind changing my schedule - if that would actually get me work.

But the truth is, there isn't work on ANY shift, on my accounts anyway, but for a few here and there. I actually can get a few hours in the morning, then run out in the early afternoon for a bit, get a little more work in the afternoon, and then the evening is completely dry - no work at all, which I hate because I used to work evenings. I am so sick and tired of this "change your schedule" crap!! Why should I change my schedule if there is no work??

yep, and I'm not blaming her at all, I actually really, really like her and I know she's just the messenger. But really, can MModal do anything else to make us hate our jobs more? I thought Vern was bad, this is even worse!

I worked on a team where the only time you could make up work was on a Friday night or on Saturday. In this case, we were practically never out of work, except for holidays. Now I've also worked on teams where it was a free-for-all, meaning work whenever the work is here. These were teams where we were ALWAYS running out of work, everyday, multiple times a day. How can you staff a group like that? It is just crazy. I really don't think the TSM has much say in it, or do they? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they have one job and one job alone - to keep all of the accounts in TAT, make sure no one is working unapproved OT (like that could ever happen), approving time cards, PTO, etc.
