speech q - need to know

Posted: Aug 09, 2012

when you look at the reports you have in QUEUE and the status of the report says CONTEXT ADAPTATION ADMINISTRATOR, what does this mean, and why am I not getting paid for these reports???

Need to know, - (see message)

This question has had 109 views but no replies! This sounds like a really important question, and you should probably ask your manager. Sorry that I don't have an answer for you, but I wouldn't be at all happy if I wasn't getting paid for some reports!

can you believe I have asked, but i get no answer. - !!

she always avoids the question or passes the buck to someone else and says she will get back to me. I seem to get better answers here. I was just hoping someone else worked with this platform and would know the answer.

That's pretty bad.... - (see message)

...but I know what you mean. Sometimes, I would email my former manager and include several questions I needed answers to. There was one particular one where she REPEATEDLY would answer all the other questions in my email but avoid that one!! And if I emailed her with just that one question, I would just get no answer at all. It was so maddening, but I finally got the picture--she wasn't going to answer because she didn't want to put the answer in writing.

Wish I knew the answer for you! Good luck--I hope you find out what you need to know!

Why would you keep doing something you are not - getting paid for? Contact HR and

explain your situation to them if your CCM is avoiding the question. That ridiculous. How often do you get these reports? Hit break when they come into your que and skip them if you are not being paid for them.

You need to go over your CCMs head if you are doing unpaid work. I personally cant help you because I dont have the slightest idea what you are talking about and it doesn't seem that others do either. You need to call HR, there is a number for them its on what use to be MQ Central.

never heard of that - Drone

what are you supposed to do to them? Edit them?

You Know, MQs Speech Wreck Is Bad Enough
Nov 01, 2010

we have dictators who compose sentences such as this: "A xx-year-old female accompanied by daughter in secondary to within the last week has run out of her amlodipine, Prozac and clonidine anywhere from 3-5 days ago each of these." I kid you not, that is what this doctor said.  American doc, speaking clear English.  Now tell me, what am I supposed to do with that?  It is a verbatim account, but the last time I let some gobbly gook like that go through I got chewed out for it (!) ...

Speech Impediments
Sep 14, 2011

This is a first for me.  The doc is NOT ESL.  But, it took me quite a while to figure out what she was saying when I heard, "The patient lickscrapitus in his knee."  Later on, I realized that she was has difficulty with pronouncing some A's and E's correctly.  So, the "lickscrapitus" was "lacks crepitus", which is also a rather odd way of making the statement, IMHO. Why don't the facilities/MTSOs notify the MTs when there is a doc on the account with certain s ...

Does anyone know of any company that does NOT use speech wreckognition.  I dont care what they say about once you are used to it you can do twice as much in the same amount of time.  I have NEVER found that to be true.  What I do find to be true is it takes me just as long, sometimes longer to clean up the mess it makes and I do it for half the pay.   Let me just say how much I DO NOT LOVE averaging about 4.00/hour cleaning up after speech wreckognition.  And yes, I ...

All Work Going To Speech
Jan 04, 2013

I am hearing from some that by 2014 all medical transcription, maybe just the at home work is required by law to go to speech recognition?  Has anyone else heard this?  I figured it is just up to the individual companies to decide whether they choose for the work to be done straight or by speech recognition.  If this is so, all of us at home workers won't have a choice and if we want to do medical work we will be forced into speech.  ...

Help! My Corporation Just Went To Speech Recognition!

I have tried to explain to manager that the program is slow, and does not seem to ever correct a lot of "normal" dictation, so I have come here to ask a question of you.  I feel that we are not getting enough keystroke count for these jobs.  I have had lengthy jobs with small actual counts because of all the repairing (MEing), and pickiing up of nearby conversations, using markers judiciously as requested.  None of these markers are included in the count that I can see, but they a ...
