Decided to send this note to our new management after the e-mail we got today about Mission One, whatever the heck that is.  I know I'll never get a response, never do.  But sometimes you just have to vent!  Here it is: 

Hello.  Everytime we get new management, I throw these questions out
although they still have yet to be answered to any satisfaction.  I've
been with this company since WAY back when it took over Digital
Dictation back in the 90's.  I had started with Digital
Dictation in 1993.  The pay used to be GREAT.  People I knew were so
envious of my job.  However, once Medquist took over and with the
eventual outsourcing to India and speech recognition, my pay has
drastically decreased.  It's not because I don't know how to do my job,
I've been at it more years than I care to remember.  Why have there NEVER been cost of living raises for transcriptionists with this
company? I have gone from making $25,000 many years ago to now down to
about $12,000 for producing the same work level.  That is why morale is
so low with this company.  We are asked to constantly increase our
production, not so we can make more money for ourselves, but so that
Medquist management can reap the rewards.  Cost of living has gone up,
but for some reason, Medquist management must think that it doesn't
affect its transcritionists.  Just wondering if you could provide any
answers because in past years, no one else has.  I work here only
because I have a husband on total disability with scleroderma who needs
my daily assistance and I have two sons that need my medical benefits. 
I'm sure my e-mails like this usually get instantly deleted.  Just
curious to see if this new management will be any different.

And I really don't want to hear it from them. I like the fact that they are snakes and slither around spewing venum because eventually, someone who is freaked out by snakes is gonna come along and take a shovel to their heads!

Good luck. I hope they have the decency to at least reply. However, I doubt it. This summer my car was hit when I took it in for service at a large, very well known Ford/Mercury dealer in my town. It was hit because the mechanic parked it in a spot clearly marked NO PARKING. Of course the company's reasoning was the place used was marked as such because they "save" that place for the car to be delivered back to the customer after service is completed. It ended up my car was damaged ($833.00) by a hit and run driver on the lot. I emailed the general manager, president AND owner (all the same person) in detail. I have never to this day even received a reply to my email. Sadly, management is about money. They got $1,200 from me that week in business, but I don't matter enough to even be recognized. My next step is to contact the Ford Motor Company. They will hear of what I think of my dealership and it's pathetic management. Good luck to you. You deserve to be heard.

Very well put indeed. The same things basically that I said in my resignation letter (LOL...maybe that's why I didn't get an exit interview.) I wasn't rude, I just put it on the line, I have bills to pay and can't afford any more pay cuts and NO raises, ever!!! Doubt you will ever get a reply, but hope you post the answer if you do.

I'm a high producer and self starter. I don't need hand-holding.  But, geesh, it's just human nature to want to hear a sincere, individual compliment for a job well done sometimes, if for no other reason than it motivates me to do a better job and make the company more money.  At some point, it seems most management has started to treat the worker bees as enemies instead of part of the team.  It's short-sighted and lazy, and I know it has to be costin ...

I haven't been put on PM yet but fear I might.  Got an email that said I had a "low-scoring feedback report."  It was for using follow up instead of followup (I know better) and then omitting the word "the."  Now, I will own up to these mistakes, they WERE my mistakes, but by no means life-threatening in any case.  But apparently this caused my score to drop below 98%.  Now I'm terrified they are going drop my pay by 3 cents a line, and I am already in danger of not being able to ...

After being with Nuance for over 1 year, I am disappointed that all I ever hear is bad news. I strive to make each document excellent, not just good, but no one cares about that, all they want is LPH which mysteriously went from 100 to 200 for the same pay. Nuance has just had a MAJOR announcement!  They are making changes to upper management AGAIN.  It is no wonder we get paid crap.  Look at their structure and they have WAY too many people in this establishment and all making way more than we do and we are the ones that do the work.  Heck, they probably do not even know how to do transcription I bet.  Greed, greed, greed.  And I could care less about it.  Give me the pay I am worth.  They want better qualit ...

The TSM and QC person I've worked with forEVVVVER in the west is gone, both of them being moved up into new positions, and dividing their accounts and the entire team of MTs/MMEs has been disassembled and moved to other areas.  I am *terribly* sad about this because they were both absolutely amazing to work for, but I'm glad that I'll be staying in the Western region. What suggestion would you like to make?
