Does anyone else find themselves find this ASR to be mind-numbing? I am so bored I cannot even concentrate on this garbage. I am losing my mental capacity listening to this drivel all day every day. I need to find a different career, 30 years of this is enough. I love the odd, very rare, typing job that at least makes me think. I literally want to call in sick every single shift so as to avoid ASR. In addition, my blood boils when I think how little we make to process this nonsense. Way to go MMORAL, way to go! They successfully killed a very good career in 5 short years. I hope they all get exactly what they deserve and I would love to see them get it! If not for my great supervisor (the heck with all the initials) I would have left long ago!

if it's not the ASR, it's filling in the blanks...well at least that's a little bit challenging once in awhile, but man I'm bored! I wish there was something else I could do! 10 years and 20 days till retirement.

How can I utilize my time better, ie. not wasting time? Utilizing my time to function for me better? I too am 'bored' with my job, there are plenty of reports..at times I just cannot wrap my brain and wrists into a day full of .... I do practice 'i am blessed' vs 'i am bored'.

you're not the only one, although i find all of it, not just voice rec, to be mind numbing. i, too, want to call in sick every single shift. i'm also concerned about being fired, 'cause i don't think i'm capable of doing a good job any more. what happens if i get fired from one of these transcription companies. can we get unemployment benefits so we can find some other career? anyone know? thanks for any help anyone can give. i'm not the only one i know of who's wondering this.

I also feel like my medical knowledge is regressing. This is is not good at all. I would put up with it if I was paid well. Not only am I getting paid poverty wages, my hours are being cut so MMoral won't have to participate in providing health care for me.

I can't wait until I finish school and am outta here!

I am getting ready to make some kind of move, just cannot for the life of me figure out what to do. This is the most boring job on the face of the earth, after 20 years it is not a challenge anymore and add a 10K paycut and I just don't want to sit here anymore. Suggestions, with obamacare the medical field is not an option for me.

Something you enjoy doing, something that you thought you could never do, or something you always wanted to do but didn't.

Having worked the last year in VR when any job on earth is better the world of options was open to me, mainly because I asked myself, "What could possibly be worse?"

I can barely sit here for a straight hour. After 30 years, I'm so done with this crap. Hard to find a job though since I've been at home for 15 years. Employers feel I have no other experience even though I have worked in medical offices in the distant past. For my own sake, I need to get out of this field.

No way to grow, no way to be creative, no way to do anything except correct the never ending mistakes made by machines that will never be close to perfect. Sad to think that most of my life is taken up doing something that holds no joy or interest any more.

First and foremost, that I could stay home and raise my son's as a single mom..and 2nd they have seen me hate my job and both have found jobs that they love...I have always told them I don't care what you do just go to work at a place where you enjoy what you are doing..

Editing MM's ASR is so mind numbing! I get back 1-2 reports a week from a client audit with stupid errors, errors I don't make when I am straight typing! And you can certainly tell the horrendous number of errors that I am correcting by my line count. The better the output, the better my count. I used to work on an account I loved and recently lost to EPIC. I never minded voice recognition because the account was interesting and I took great pride in each report I typed. and it is tough...I work doggedly to do this in the 8 hours I am allotted..not because it takes 8 hours, but because I have to do within 8 hours. If I was given a block of time, like it has been suggested, I could easily get this done with 6 hours (on and off) of editing and/or the little bit of typing I get. Do you mind comparing? It wouldn't be so bad if there was just no work in my BOB and I could ask for more back up accounts from other BOB but the whole western region is out of work! Are they kidding? Who is going to be sending ANYTHING to QA and take a chance of having their pay cut? Especially if it's the beginning of the work week! Yes, the clients will be getting blanks and I know they will be complaining. The Q keeps sending us e-mails telling us to cut down on QA submissions. Are they kidding? I've worked at a hospital doing transcription and getting an hourly wage, and I've also done transcription at home. At-home was not a good experience for me. I about went bankrupt, but the good thing is that I have more experience now. I'm trying to decide whether to go back to a hospital and get an hourly pay or work from home again... I don't mind clocking in and out, everyone has to do that, but if there is down time that needs to be added to my timecard or the like then that should be their job not ours. I could have participated in my company's 401K for 3 years now, but when I went to sign the paperwork and read through the fine print there were things stated in there like I could lose everything that I put into it if the investiment company went bankrupt and that this "IS" an investment and not a promise to pay.....
