I understand that many of you have gone to this POD system, and have read that we will all be doing that. I guess I would be considered East, but I do not know. I have not heard anything from MM about it, but I find it hard to sleep at night worrying about job security. Is it just on say Fluency? I do not really know what that is and have never used it. I came as an acquisition and work on the ChartNet platform.
I have also read that you have like 100 different accounts. I do not understand how that is possible. I am on 4 accounts, and each one has pages and pages of specs. Within those specs are instructions on a lot of different work types and many, many different doctors. Do you actually have to read the account specs on every report you do? How can you make money like that? Not only that, but if they are for doctors in many different locations, that would make it real tough. You should be able to have some sense of familiarity to improve your production and accuracy. Are they tryiing to get rid of clients too? It seems to me that without local terminology knowledge, ie, medical facilities, hospital names, doctors names, counties, etc. MM will need to be hiring alot more QA people because if you have over 100 different accounts, this is a problem. Are they basically having you do all this research for free, as well as not paying you for inserting that copy? I am finding that is what VR is all about. Besides correcting all the details in a report (which you can do faster on VR, not) your job is basically to do all the important research it needs, for free!!
Also, are you all Tier 3? If you were a Tier 1 or 2, are the OP reports separated from everything else?
Lastly, I read where some of you are audited once a week, and some once a month. Who determines this, and when. i have been here 2 years and have only been audited once. I am very worried. I have terrible ESLs, and others who are awful, and I usually correct their grammer, etc. I have never had anyone say anything about that, I have just always done it.
Thanks for anyone who shares info. If I am going to go on a POD, I would like to know what to expect, how you are doing it, and/or if I am washed up here.
