I got CRITICAL errors on audit for things like: I typed "I used a translator telephone..." (that is what I heard) and the person auditing changed "a translator telephone" to "the translator telephone" (I suppose she heard "the" instead of "a"). In the physical exam portion of one report, the dictator used "was" throughout except for one time he said "is" and so I changed it to "was" to make it consistent and got a critical error for that. Please tell me how these are critical errors that impact patient care? Am I missing something? This is just a sample from this audit, but the same stupid stuff on all reports audited (one report had really bad audio with static and one was not even from my normal accounts) and for the first time I have failed an audit (10 years with MQ). This is so wrong! I am crushed and my confidence is shot. Low line count for me tonight for sure as I really do not feel like working.
I suppose I could wait until they fire me for making below minimum wage and then fight for the unemployment as they have changed the rules mid game and made it impossible to make above minimum wage being on 100% QA and lowering my pay.
I am looking for another company to work for but, dang, this is just not right. Thanx for letting me vent.
