Now running out of work on fridays in the afternoon

Five years ago, I was hired for Monday through Friday. A little over a month ago, I was forced to change my schedule to include a weekend day, so I picked Sunday through Thursday. Today, supervisor sends out an email stating she still needs help on Fridays. I emailed her asking about this and am being ignored. Is there anybody in this company who doesn't have their head up their ass? ...

All afternoon, the work trickled in, one job, nothing, one job, nothing... Suddenly it jumped from around 500 jobs to over 1900 jobs in 10 minutes! It seems like the work is given back to us when offshore is done for the day. Then we get the cleanup of what is left. So, is this company going to become a 2nd shift only job? ...

I will never understand why companies over hire, we were ontop of TAT. In 2 weeks we have gone from 100s of files to 20 and fighting each other for them. 1200 lines to 400 a day ?
