Anyone else running out of work? - Meeee

I'm so sick of having to hit the pawn shops up to pay my bills because the company I've been with for 7 years has overhired. I've not had any work now for 3 hours.

Just checked my line count and I have 400 lines for far and my shift ends in 30 minutes. I am not with Transcend either. That is about, what $5 an hour? My W2 from last year was over $10K less than 2008. And I quit MQ for this job as I was losing about $800 a month in 2007-2008.

Day 3 - no work today - Mon and Tues I made less than $40 - that is with Transcend.

Have you been with them for a while? It's unreal. I read about others who are bogged down with so much work and here we are begging for it. I even emailed the woman that handles giving out work and she didn't even bother to reply back.

through a merge, and from day one the work has slowly declined and now most days the work is not there at all.

I don't know if you're allowed to give the company name on here, but that would be really helpful to people who are switching companies. I know some people who are just drowning in work right now, working overtime, and then some of the companies have overhired or are giving their work to some people and not to others. Do you mind saying the name of the company?

I work for On-Time and they run out of work constantly. Got my 1099 and even after trying to work every day I made less then $12,000 last year.

Wow, I thought it was just me. I live in a southern state and the company I am with all of a sudden has no work or they are only giving it t certain people. Anyone else in a similar situation down south, don't know if you can say the name of your company or not, we may be with the same folks

I would suspect your company is not being forthcoming with you - the work is probably being offshored (India) or they are overstaffed.

Just started my first MT job this week, was given an account and told I was the only one working it. Also told we weren't allowed to take more than one job at a time. Lo and behold, today someone came in, took all the jobs in the queue in one fell swoop, and I've had nothing to do for hours. From now on, I'm taking more than one job out of the queue at a time, too.

We have been offered a job to move right over, etc. and everything sounds just wonderful. LOL. However, I see on the board many, many unhappy employees. I will never understand why companies over hire, we were ontop of TAT. In 2 weeks we have gone from 100s of files to 20 and fighting each other for them. 1200 lines to 400 a day ? Amazing the amount of job hopping necessary to support our families as most of type long hours, low pay to support our families. I am sickened by the thought of losing another job to no lines and the financial downfall it will have on my family..... I do not want to name company as I fear ...

I have an opportunity to get a brand new MAC as a gift. My boyfriend has an extra one. I work on the BeyondText platform and remember seeing someone on here had a MAC but had a way to split it so her Windows programs ran on the MAC somehow. Tech support at Transcend says it won't work on a MAC. Or maybe I was wondering if an external driver could be used that was Windows and would run on the MAC. Probably a pipe dream, but a MAC! I just came on shift and the system is sluggish, taking forever to download jobs and to switch between screens for ADT. As if that wasn't delightful enough, I just got the dreaded "unable to provide further audio" on the only decent-length job I've had, and I was actually able to hear it just fine. I broke it just to be on the safe side - I'm not going to do a job if I'm not sure of getting credit for it. Is anybody else dealing with ...

I tested with Opti-Script less than 2 months ago and I was told that I passed, but that there was a waiting list to be hired and that they would contact me as soon as they had openings.
