I had gotten a message on voicemail that they wanted me to test so as to move ahead in the hiring process and that they would send me a link for the test. I have yet to get that link. Hmm....

I already tested and had my phone interview. - Was told to expect email
[ In Reply To ..]within the next 10 minutes to fill out some final information, and then I would be contacted by someone to help me set up my schedule and finalize compensation, etc. That was last Thursday. Still haven't gotten the email. She did follow up the next day to ask if I had had a chance to fill out the information, at which point I informed her no email had come. We identified what we thought was the problem, and she said she was resending. Still didn't get it. That was Friday. Yesterday, I called the person who will be contacting me to work out my schedule and left a voice mail informing her the email had still not come. Have not heard back.

[ In Reply To ..]I worked for M-Modal for the month of January when my physician group was bought out by a huge system that was using them. I got a 200-page manual, 170 pages of which were out of date because they kept all the info in from the companies they had taken over, pertinent or not. I got my computer from them and all the "peripherals," and that was fine, but when I finally quit because they lied about anyone else working on our group (sure - reports went from 700 a week to 12 a day - sure - I was born yesterday!), my last day was January 31st. I asked SEVEN TIMES for them to send shipping labels for all their crap to be sent back to them. This is October 1st and I still have it because they haven't gotten their act together. Once, they sent me three empty, and subsequently broken up boxes because they thought I needed boxes instead of shipping labels. Suffice it to say, in that case, bigger is not better!!

I thought they were 2 different services. Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows. All the small companies have been merged I guess. I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR. Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...

Did anyone else get the message from Massanotti? What do you think? Also, I went to medquist.com and was struck by the fact that they are marketing front-end dictation systems with SpeechQ, thereby eliminating transcriptionists altogether! I am not surprised, any way to get us out of the picture will make them more money. It just seems odd that they would tell us on one hand that they value us and then on the other try to get rid of us altogether.... ...
