Yeah how bout it. I got one the other day to bragging about the big pay...hello....where is it? Especially after all the outsourcing, never having any work so fighting for every penny we make, etc...who are they kidding!!
We dont make the money we used to party because - our job has devolved into DATA ENTRY. sm

We spend far too much time looking up things the dictator neglected to key in, or worse - keyed in wrong, and far less time doing true transcription.
Maybe these companies should just let the indians do the data entry part, and let us do what we're paid for - TRANSCRIPTION.
No, we surely don't make the same money.... - MTmich

because of clerical time-wasting garbage. Instead of paying people to nit-pick about semicolons, trivialities and petty personal preferences that do not change report's meaning, those paid hourly should be doing the clerical duties, c.c. look-ups, and demos--certainly not production MTs.
a goldmine, PLUS an opportunity to put those immoral MTSOs in their place. Every job has the time it was submitted and who did it. If those times are strung-out over 10-14 hours when the MTSO bogus records show you worked an 8-hour shift, who do you think will come out ahead in a lawsuit? Also, keep a log on the REAL hours you worked as icing on the cake. An employment attorrney would have a ball with this. ...
I have never worked on ChartNet and am wondering how hard it is to learn and the earning capacity in it. I love escription but this new account is ChartNet.
Thanks all! ...
I have visited their web site and seen their new ad. I was wondering if anyone who visits this board has any work experience/history with them. TIA ...
Can anyone tell me where there test is located? A few months ago I was invited to test with them, couldn't find their test, so took another job instead and now regret it. Do they e-mail it or is it on their site? Also, can anyone give me the good/bad of this company? ...
Does anyone currently work, or has ever worked, for MTII? I've seen their ads on this board a couple of times and, with 10+ years experience, once submitted my resume but never heard back. Their website seems somewhat warm and personal...before throwing my hat into the ring again, this time I thought I'd inquire as to if anyone else has worked for them and how the ladies are to work for.
TIA for any info :) ...
I got an email from them asking if I was still interest in part-time work. Funny thing is, I don't remember applying to them. But then again, I applied to so many places, I just can't recall them specifically. ...
Just looking for the usual input...pay scale, type of work (VR/straight) and ratio of each, quality of human and work interface. Feel free to send an e-mail if you'd prefer. ...
Hello,
I just graduated from Career Step with High Honors. Has anyone ever heard of South Florida Medical Transcribers? They are hiring part time, but they don't have a website. I'd love to hear if anyone knows anything. Thanks! ...
I've been looking at exchange rates as well as information on salaries for MTs in India trying to figure out what they are earning. As best I can tell, a rupee is worth about 2 cents. If my math is correct, a starting MT is earing about $160/month. I cannot find any information as to their line rate. If anyone has better math skills (and it would not be difficult) please correct me. At that rate, you can see why they want all the work to go to India. Even ...
A post on the company board got me to think about what it is we (as MTs) need in terms of pay. Does 3 cpl provide for you and your family (if you have dependents)? Does 12 cpl provide that need? What is your daily average of income regardless of whether it is voice recognition or straight income? Do you have a bottom line that you will not cross or will find something outside of medicatl transcription?
I will post separately my personal need and hope others will share theirs. ...
I was looking at job ads on a website called findtranscriptionwork.com. I found it on a search engine, have never seen this site before. I found a job listing for an India-based company looking for a business transcriptionist preferably located in India, and they are paying $20 an hour to start.
Hmmmm. ...
Wondering how other TT transcribers feel about the past few months audits. They say one thing one month, and the next months audit you do it the way I corrected it and then it comes back corrected again...confusing...I feel the audits are very subjective...they can find errors if they want to...seem to do it on mine,,,I got major errors for lack of a comma....a period...and a patient care error because I did not hyphenate between a two word titled syndrome.....when asked how that cha ...
On this posting only 1 was found a while ago and the transcriptionist said it was 2 hours away and she needed the job badly, but no questions were answered and she would have to drive 2 hours away tao be trained. The pay was very low and many difficulty factors. Wondered if over the years, anytihing has changed. This is just a one-owner business and not a big national. ...
Call me greedy, but what can a new MT expect to earn the first couple of months? Based on having plenty of work and working around the clock. I am putting out at least 1100 lines a day for now. What is considered a good line count? ...
Okay, so I signed on with Transcend because they said, "Do you want to be guaranteed $900 per pay period as full time?" Well, sure. That sure reeled me in. I had always been afraid they ran out of work. Now it turns out that you HAVE to earn $900 IN ORDER TO BE full time. Big difference! It's like saying, "If you win the Olympic gold medal, you'll be guaranteed a first-place finish!" Or, "If you win the election, you'll be guaranteed more votes than your opponent!" It's so ba ...
Ok, finally, the horrors have happened to me. All was well, but now I'm getting seriously pissed.
I work 8 hour shifts 5 days a week. Those hours are mandatory. My pay is equalling less than minimum wage. I e-mailed the company asking them about having to pay me minimum wage given the mandatory hours. The only response I got was "I'll look into it." That was over a week ago.
In addition, the platform we use that records our lines is not recording all my jobs! I write down all the job ...
I've had the same line rate (9 cpl) for 5 years, and I notice the new accounts they offer MTs pay 7.5 or 8 cpl at most. I must admit, though that I do work for a great company (I've been with them 12 years); they offer lots of flexibility (no required shifts or hours, just a reasonable line quota), payment promptly by direct deposit twice a month like clockwork, an easy to use transcription platform and wonderful QA and support staff. I have a lot of job satisfaction, though for my yea ...
I guess my next check will be a negative amount, since last week I didn't even get 8 hours in and this week thus far, I have only gotten 2 hours in. Somebody has to pay for my insurance and I am pretty sure they aren't going to cover it at the kindness of their heart. Beyond frustrated!!! ...
I want to know when we are gettiing more money. Not interested in how exciting things are. I just need an email with the exact amount, NOW. NOTHING ELSE.
Don't want it tied into bonus because FIESA is manipulated to prevent bonuses.
You did not hear us "loud and clear." WE WANT MORE MONEY. NOW.
We don't want to hear about your studies or your excitement or new ways of exploring things in the usual vague Nuance-speak. Just send an email with the amount and the exact d ...
