If you have no jobs and can't work,do you still earn your PTO?
My understanding is that.... - SM

....PTO is only earned during actual "clocked-in" time. That's how it worked at the MTSO that I worked for, and it's how it worked at the hospital where I worked before that. For instance, if you used 40 hours of PTO for a week of vacation, you weren't building up new PTO time during that week. We only earned PTO based on our actual hours we were clocked in.
I don't work for M*Modal, so I'm not sure how they work it; but if M*Modal requires you to clock out whenever you have NJA, my assumption would be you're not earning PTO during that time. Now, if you stay clocked in for, say, the first 15 minutes of NJA before you get off the clock, then perhaps those 15-minute periods would be building PTO(?).
I was told I had to have a specific amount of lines - sm

in order to earn my PTO..So if I miss a few hours for NJA and still make the correct lines, I should get my PTO..Need to check with the TSM on that one now. This is the first week, I have had NJA in a while
M*Modal - NJA - BeenThere, Done That

Take screen shots of everything--especially when it says NJA. It could come handyin court when you are trying to get paid for sitting and waiting or for when you are applying for partial UE or UE.

What The Indians Earn Mar 25, 2013I've been looking at exchange rates as well as information on salaries for MTs in India trying to figure out what they are earning. As best I can tell, a rupee is worth about 2 cents. If my math is correct, a starting MT is earing about $160/month. I cannot find any information as to their line rate. If anyone has better math skills (and it would not be difficult) please correct me. At that rate, you can see why they want all the work to go to India. Even ...

Want To Earn Extra Money? Those Of You Being Told To Lie Nov 24, 2011a goldmine, PLUS an opportunity to put those immoral MTSOs in their place. Every job has the time it was submitted and who did it. If those times are strung-out over 10-14 hours when the MTSO bogus records show you worked an 8-hour shift, who do you think will come out ahead in a lawsuit? In Terms Of What You Earn Per Day - What Is Your Bottom Line? Apr 14, 2012A post on the company board got me to think about what it is we (as MTs) need in terms of pay. Does 3 cpl provide for you and your family (if you have dependents)? Does 12 cpl provide that need? What is your daily average of income regardless of whether it is voice recognition or straight income? Do you have a bottom line that you will not cross or will find something outside of medicatl transcription?
