They have been doing this 20 some years. MQ drops MT pay and then takes the leftover and uses it to buy more companies. I think it is just habit on their part.

If you read the article in a posting above, they borrowed the money from a line of credit.

I had a line of credit, but my credit rating went down. Gee, I wonder why?? I counted on the money I was making to pay bills, BUT THANKS TO MQ, my pay was cut in half in no time. I am working harder than ever to barely make minimum wage?? Gee, THANKS A LOT MQ!!! This is not my fault. I counted on the money I was making for years and years with this company. I can see a decrease of 5% in pay, but over 50%%% ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Yep, getting into another profession.

No bank is going to offer a company a line of credit unless they can show how they plan to pay the money back. Medquist just has to show how they plan to cut costs or increase revenue- either my sending more to India or cutting the existing US MTs pay. You know the top dogs are already salivating at sending as much as they can of all of JLG and Alltype clients over to India. They already cut the grandfathered rates of most MTs and haven't raised wages in at least 6 years. One more round of pay cuts should pay the line of credit off in a hurry.

That's because they cannot shrink the MT pay any further without inviting lawsuits and criminal charges for attempting to pay less than minimum wage.

My company was just bought last month, and suddenly all the higher ups are "resigning". I would think they would have done that before accepting the new position, not after jumping through all the hoops and piles of paperwork to get hired, the miserable process of training on 10 different website logins, etc. None of them will admit it, but it sure seems like MQ is firing off everyone who doesn't make them money.
