When MQ buys out a new company, do they - subsequently fire all the non MTs?

My company was just bought last month, and suddenly all the higher ups are "resigning". I would think they would have done that before accepting the new position, not after jumping through all the hoops and piles of paperwork to get hired, the miserable process of training on 10 different website logins, etc.

None of them will admit it, but it sure seems like MQ is firing off everyone who doesn't make them money. Is this the normal process?

Just imagine if we lowly MTs think we have it bad, especially compared to the nice days of that other company (and I think I know which one you mean), then the CCMs must really be run crazy by all the mess.

That's the way it seems to work for ALL buy-outs. When my MTSO was bought by a bigger one, all the good people either "resigned" or quit, and they hired clowns and sadists to take their place.

I don't think the CCMs are "higher ups." I think they had more notice than we did, but probably not much and had to "accept" or "decline," like we did. As for MQ making someone's life miserable until they quit, it's just sort of what they do, whether they want you to quit or not.

I am guessing with the low quality I see that 10:1 they let a plethora of MTs go right AFTER acquiring an MT SCHOOL so that they could have the students do the work as required work for th program and not pay them. I have over 30 years in this field and it seems that a lot of companies are either cutting the MT's pay to edit on ASR and/or are offshoring work out to India, Pakistan, Philippines, etc. I don't believe in sending our jobs overseas, and I've also given ASR at whirl (a long whirl lol) and I still couldn't increase my lines per hour to compensate for the cut in pay that I had to take by doing ASR. Would you be able to perform at that level? I'm sure there are some of you that say you consistently produce 100% quality and at least 400 lines an hour. I'm not talking to you.
