I was wondering if someone can give me the email address of human resources. I used to work for Medquist and I left due to not having any work about a year ago. I am looking at contacting someone someone in HR to see if I could possibly work for them again if possible. Thanks

WHY? Read this board - there is no work. At least they will make promises but after they get you in - you will have no work. Look at other companies and be happy.

Thank you for the response. You are right about no work. That was the reason I left and I just see that they have job postings all over the place, so I did not know if they had work again or not. I guess not. I have been trying to get work and no one is hiring part time right now. I have almost 10 years experience and I just cannot get anything. Thank you though for the reply.

go to the medquist.com website and reapply. You will have to do this anyways. On the application, it will ask you if you have worked here before. You will have to retest. I do know that if you did not work out a notice, you are not eligible for rehire.

I believe MQ is currently advertising a $500- signon bonus - L&L

Only if you make it long enough to receive it....this is paid after a period of time with MQ. With NJA - it only helps to make up for all of those reports you DON'T get. Gimme a break. There is no such bonus at MQ.

Read the fine print before you sign on and expect to get the sign-on bonus. Before agreeing to it, ask them where in the manual the fine print is re this bonus. When they say you must meet all quality criteria, make sure to ask them exactly what that criteria is and what the time line is.

I agree, I don't think there is such a thing as a sign-on bonus. It's the carrot they dangle, not intending in good faith to pay it.

I actually did receive my sign-on bonus about 3 years ago ($1000 at the time). It was paid out in 2 payments, 1 after 6 months and then 1 after a year. I had no problems. The first one I received automatically without asking. The second one I had to email my supervisor at the time who filled out the necessary paperwork and I got it 2 weeks later.

I guess I didn't realize how lucky I was until after I read all of the horror stories on here, although I always met my quality, schedule and quota criteria, which was 98% accuracy, schedule compliance and minimum line counts. As far as I know, that was all I had to accomplish to qualify, although I'm not sure if NJA would affect the criteria or not. I didn't have that issue at the time.

I, too, returned to MQ after about a year away. Keep in mind the people you speak to in HR are not the people you will be working for. They will make it sound great. It's not. If you are desperate for work, then come on back. You will get paid on time, etc. But do not fall for the sign-on bonus thing, unless you get the most perfect account in the world, that has plenty of work and your QA submission rate is about 10% from the start. Take it from me.

I currently work for a company that pays pretty much the same as Medquist. I hardly have to deal with ESL docs and if I work my butt off I can make some decent money. I have taken the tests, had a phone interview, and the person from the phone interview said my next step was to fill out an application on line. Hi everyone! I'm hoping to test with MedQuist in the next few days. I am wondering if anyone can give me a general idea of what to expect as far as testing goes? Can anyone tell me how closely affiliated DSG and MedQuist are, and if DSG outsources to India? We all know MQ outsources, but I'm having trouble getting information.
