MQ wonders never cease- TAT terrible under lockdown - dont care anymore

We just got an email letting us know how terrible our TAT has been for the past week. Um, we are on lockdown! And even if I wanted to help out (which I don't) there are no shifts available on the swap board to help out. So whose fault is it do you think? Certainly not the MTs, but we are getting blamed and now asked to work OT with no shifts available to pick up. This lockdown was supposed to be the answer to MQ prayers- watch me while I do an "I told you so" dance.

Lockdown (LOCK UP) is a JOKE.

They try so hard to micromanage and then wonder why we don't feel like jumping on to help.

Back when I was a statutory employee and could work when I felt like it, I would put in 50+ hours a week because I WANTED TO... Now, I do my 24 and punch out and I don't care if they have TAT issues. BOO HOO. So my CCM doesn't get a bonus... waaahhhh... NEITHER DO I!!!

When they figure out that you can treat us MTs like a grown up and let us do your jobs without all this FTR, ASR, LOCKUP, SWAMP BOARD crap... I will be happy to go above and beyond again.

A few months ago the backlog was really bad for our account and MQ paid out a DECENT bonus for helping out, so I know they are capable. Maybe when they offer a decent bonus (not the weekend incentive 3cpl crap) I might think about it again. However, in case I was wavering on working OT this week (which I wasn't) working so my CCM can make a bonus just makes me sick. She can type her own self for her own bonus, oh wait, not an MT at all. Darn!

I thought I was the only one who had a CCM that wasn't an MT. Doesn't that just cut you to the quick? Screaming for help, so she can make her bonus and she can't even help out. WTG MQ. I am with the rest of you. No more extra, no more OT, no nothing other than what is expected of me and if I run out of work then I stay logged on, report it and wait for the work, no work, wait some more until it is time for me to log off. Learned that trick when I worked at Spheris. Of course there is not money, but I cannot jump through any more hoops for nothing!

I have no idea what mine is, except that she is never - available, and always taking vacatings.

What bothers me is the suits blame us. - They say it is our fault.

Suits say we ran out of work and so they created cesspool, our fault.

Suits say we complain about ADT issues and leaving blanks because of bad dictation and so the suits created FTR, our fault they say.

Suits say we have no work during our shift and so they created Lockout, our fault again.

Suits say we complained about not getting flexible time and so they created SWAMP BOARD, still our fault.

They are the ones who dropped our pay and created this stupid ASR crap, yet somehow they blame us and it is OUR FAULT.

I will never forget a suit getting on this board and blaming us for our low pay, ASR, etc.

They do that in order to justify their changes, no matter whom they step on, and it pays them handsomely. We don't make the decisions, but need to heed them. The suits know they can make dirty changes and they come out smelling like roses while we suffer.

putting the power in the hands of the MTs? We're the only ones who REALLY know how it should be run. Putting MQ out of business would put us out of jobs. Instead, we should be given a say in problem-solving.

Were going to be out of jobs soon, anyway. I just think - the captains should go down with their ships.

The ones who are making all the decisions should have to have some experience as an MT I believe. They are making unrealistic expectations for everyone in the company to follow when they don't understand any of it, except how much money WE are putting in THEIR pockets. Most of us MTs got into this career field because we liked the flexibility of hours, the ability to work from home because of kids or physical abilities (or disabilities), and now we can't even make ends meat and have to work almost constantly to do so.

I'm sure the suits invented the lock-down to make the CCM's job defunct. Of course they make it sound like such a brainstorm to give themselves credit, but they'll have to take all the credit for the bad TAT now. They expect us to work like robots but life doesn't always work that way, and the TAT is proof. Maybe the lock-down was the suits' answer to slap the face of the CCM who complained about having to keep track of the MTs who jump on and off as they wish. I know my CCM mentioned that some MTs did that and it irked her. They probably thought that'll show those smarty-pants CCMs.

How odd. We don't have the lock down here. We are back logged yet again and working OT. My paychecks past 3 1/2 months have been like the ones I got when I worked in an office.

We got a letter saying opposite of what yours did. Our swapboard is swamped.

This company is a wreck. Is it a regional thing? I'm in So-Cal.

I got an email from my CCM the other day stating that she expected our team to check our email and respond even if we weren't scheduled to be working!!

Excuse me, but I'm off on Friday and Saturday. I don't do a darn thing for the Q on that day. Are you telling me you are going to demand that I take my day off and check my BUSINESS email and respond, but you aren't going to pay me for it? I'll have you in court!

I'm outta here very soon. Just as soon as a new job comes in, I'm gone. No notice, no nothing. I don't have their equipment. I won't even send them an email...or maybe I will and tell them where to stick it!

My group is not in lockdown yet. I have been dreading it. It seems like chaos and this was making me want to quit. Although, these last 2 weeks, I have been on the other side where people have been jumping on and taking my work. Just found out that some MT's are supposed to work 12-24 hours a week and instead, they have been putting in anywhere from 28-48 hours in ONE week. I have been having exceptionally bad audio lately from normally good dictators and wonder why. Could this be another cost cutting measure somehow, or maybe they okayed docs to dictate under water or in their car or wherever on old crappy cell phones or something? It's bad enough to have to face the daily FIESA attack, but to take double the time to get through a report because of horrific audio is just the icing on the cake. Anybody else find this? looking forward to that at all. If they could ensure there would be enough work during your ENTIRE shift I would have NO problem with it. But what are we supposed to do when we get NJA. Right now, my CCM just says to keep checking back throughout the day, which I do, and then I can almost always get my hours in that way. Lockdown for us started last week and sometimes I can punch in earlier than 15 minutes and jobs keep downloading after my shift and other days I get the error message to contact my CCM. Also last week there were 200+ shifts posted on the swap board to pick up and this week around 25 a day. We also go from NJA to many late jobs in the matter of a day with no consistency. I have noticed in my years as a transcriptionist the horrible sound effects I hear from some doctors. I just now transcribed a doctor who throughout the entire dictation must have coughed and loudly cleared his throat 20 times. I had another one who used to burp, chew food and yawn; dictating the entire time without pausing. AND believe it or not, I had a doctor FALL ASLEEP while dictating, no joke. I find this so rude it is not even funny. Not to mention the doctor ...

Current Probity employee about to be sucked up by the impersonal big company. withholds up to 50% for errors or such; I am a long-time MT and have a QA score above 99, but that scares me. Also, I heard the wages were low, and the platform bad. This would be for straight typing, which is great for me.......Could I please have input here?
