Current Probity employee about to be sucked up by the impersonal big company. Anyway, has anybody noticed in the last two weeks all the good dictators are gone and there's nothing left but the garbage dictators and poor sound quality? I have struggled all evening and have a total of about 300 lines. Ran out of work both Saturday and Sunday nights which has never happened in the past. Either I'm on the s**t list or the work is already transitioning somewhere else. I am not feeling optimistic about this move.

One report after another of the worst dictators and not a single normal speaker, and there is either a buzzing sound or it sounds like they are speaking in a tunnel. Their Nuance engine stinks, the M*Modal speech wreck we had was a TON better. They put even these worst dictators on speech wreck and that combined with the audio and I am going from averaging 300 lph to the upper 100s to low 200s! That on top of the pay cut coming means I will go to minimum wage or below. I am going to the employment agency on my day off to look for ANYTHING else, temp job or otherwise! Suspicious that it is happening to another company they sucked up too!

in the process of transitioning over to their (Nuance) speech program and it's "learning" all over again and the reason why the sudden change in voice issues. Are you using the same platform as your prior company did still?

This happened occasionally on M*Modal also, but the Nuance speech engine on Apex at Accentus has been on for over 2 months now. Not only is the speech wreck part not very good (which I can still understand at 2 months) but what is really irritating is there are many times it does not insert a period, or it puts a colon at the end of a sentence which makes the whole section a header/subheader. Numbered lists have the 1st letter missing from every numbered item often. It randomly inserts nonsense headers not dictated and numbers items that are part of a sentence, not to be numbered. So it isn't just a matter of it learning the dictators, the problems are far beyond that. I am ready to throw in the towel and quit without giving notice (which I have never ever done before)

Sorry but it won't get any better with Nuance. Your pay will be cut and the dictation will get even worse. I was with Transcend when Nuance bought the out and they pushed me off on Accentus which is still using M*Modal which is ancient technology. They cut my pay even more, put me on a really bad account with horrible dictators, cut me from the incentive program provided by Nuance because they threw me to Accentus. Find another job.

Have noticed the same thing. My primary account has all but disappeared and I have been getting almost nothing but the worse dictators and the worst quality sound. I also work evenings but haven't run out of work yet... in fact I was slammed on Sunday, but it was all crap!! If this is what it is going to be like, I've got to get out now!

I work for Probity as well and am noticing the same thing. I work in the evenings and lately I've gotten nothing but ESL dictators and poor quality, yet they say nothing has changed over. My account is all straight typing and no voice recognition. I think a lot of MTs have abandoned ship. I loved working for Probity and now I'm looking for a new place to call home. So SAD!

I work day shift..5 am to noon..and wake up to the worst of dictators, like again today there are 19 of the same horrible dictator. I don't mind doing my share but at least 3 days a week I can clock out and when I wake up the next morning the exact same crappy jobs are still there in my pool. I was originally Transcend and have worked here 3 years..so I doubt its going to get any better for you :(

I'm trying to troubleshoot something. Does anyone else have sound-quality issues on DSG dictations? Just curious if I should seriously have this looked at on my end. It's not all reports, but enough so that I need to look into it one way or the other. If I'm the only one, I'll hire someone to look into this. I am having a very hard time with sound issues. I turn it all the way up and still struggle just to hear the voices. It doesn't matter if I plug my headphones directly into the computer port or the speaker port. It plays louder if I let the speakers play out loud without headphones but I cannot always do that when others are around because of HIPAA and privacy issues. Why would one by one doctors who I have listened to for years suddenly have changes in the quality of their voice files? They were clear as a bell and now muffled or with static. I have a service that rerecords from the hospital server and then we download from the service's server. The sound quality is absolutely atrocious by the time it comes to the MT with most jobs sounding like they were dictated on a cell phone inside a cardboard box. I am presently using a Boostaroo which make the audio louder but does nothing to clean it up. Is there something I can buy that will improve the quality? TIA ...

Is it me or is it that the sound quality is getting worse and worse on these accounts. Ever since last year when they had the town hall meeting saying they were making improvements (e mails, etc.) and then they got bought, seems all that improving stopped. I have done absolutely everything that I can think of and it's still horrible! I upgraded from WinXP and Word 2002 and bought a brand new, faster computer with Win7 and Word 2010. I know my hearing has not changed but it seems that the sound quality of the dictation lately has changed. It doesn't matter whether I'm using a cphone or downloaded voice files. On A LOT of the dictations there seems to be a whooshing sound (for lack of a better description) in the background. Has anyone ever complained through Remedy about the sound quality for Fluency? I realize this is probably futile with MM, but it has become so unacceptable. How in the h3!! are we supposed to produce quality documents when MM can't even give us quality sound??? This is so freaking annoying. Please HELP!!! What is the policy when you have a 22 minute dictation and the sound quality is so poor you can only understand may be every 4th or 5th word/phrase. I'm just wondering if poor sound quality (very muffled) can be due to other things than dictator using cell phone, etc. I recently started working with Inscribe, and sometimes it seems like every single dictator is very hard to hear clearly (static, overall muffled, etc), so I'm wondering if it's something to do with a temporary condition related to the Inscribe platform/server or the hospital. It seems to me in recent weeks the quality of dictations, both the doctors and the audio quality, have gotten worse. When I first started this account, I was given pretty much the same doctors consistently, plus others. Now, I get mostly random dictators, and the only ones I get more than once are the really bad ones. As a result, my line count has been going down. I quit in early 2014 because there was a sudden switchover of doctors in the acct I was typing, and they were the worst I've ever encountered. The sound quality was atrocious at Nuance. It was like scraping the bottom of the barrel. I work for a different company now that doesn't make you jump through stupid FIESA hoops, etc, and it's nice.
