What is it that's keeping you there, whether insurance, paid time off, line count, steady accounts. Please, I would like to know if it is worth giving a try. TIA

We do get paid on time. It's not much but it's always there on Friday morning!

If I didn't need insurance, I'd be gone in a heartbeat. If they change the insurance rate or if I start running out of work bigtime, outta here.

They do pay on time, some do not. Not sure why you would want to choose this particular company with all the "bad" publicity here. Nothing is lies that you are reading. Actually, the whole field stinks.

There is no way I would be able to find any other job with this kind of flexibility, whether it is because there is no job available, an emergency, I don't feel well, or I need a mental break. If I take an hour or 2 here, I can place it somewhere else with relative ease. However, I don't abuse this priviledge!

The job itself stinks, and it is not mmodal per se,,,,it is a production and you get what you give..Fortunately this is a supplement to my retirement and I dont NEED to be slamming lines all day. There are 2 reasons:

1. Paycheck arrives on time, even if it is 50-100 dollars in a 2 week period because of no jobs.

2. Great job to be able to attend school to get out of this field.

What I like about my job... - L&L

I really enjoy my account; I get it 97% of the time, and it is quite interesting.

My pay, although having been cut several times, is still higher than what I can get at any other company. I know, I've worked a few part time.

My CCM is very nice and always available. I have known from my previous company which was told to MModal years ago.

I don't mind VR. I actually like it now better than straight transcription. I have arthritis in my thumbs, but I can still read 300+ wpm.

I like working at home wearing absolutely nothing when we have 100+ weather. And now showering for days on end.

I like not having to work in an office environment around other people.

lack of bathing habits. I always shower before I go out, but I only go out a few times a month to buy catfud. In the winter when I don't sweat, I've managed 17 days w/o showering.

I have many reasons to be satisfied. I can work from home and not have to get in the car and pay for gas. I don't have to worry about spending money on clothes. I can work my schedule. I have a fairly steady job account (s), PTO time, equipment provided for me by the company and a good supervisor. Sure with anything in life there are things that you do not like, but you have to concentrate on the good things, and not get bogged down in the negatives. You will hear more negatives in life than positives unfortunately. So my theory is if it is negative, and you are surrounded by it, get rid of it. Take certain sites with a grain of salt and decide what is best for you.

Honestly, every time I get a big ding it is from one person. Everyone else seems to not mark me off much. When a company decides to make an account VR, are all the reports a mess to begin with for weeks or months until the voice engine (sorry if that's the wrong term) learns from the "straight" transcription that is done? Why do different platforms matter (i.e., E-scription versus M-Modal, etc).
