Second time I applied for a position after seeing ad or mention on this board. Sent resume immediately upon seeing ad. received message both times from postmaster saying "message delivery delayed." Checked that out on Google and apparently it is because of overwhelming response to ad. I am going to ask (while prepared for outraged hostile responses about American freedom) that people not flood companies with resumes unless you really are interested in the position. I have seen mention here of a company and then 4 to 5 posters wanting to know how to contact. It is like being trapped in a herd of lemmings. Just Use Common Sense. Dont apply out of boredom or mild curosity. People out here really need an income.

Another idea: Don't apply for a job through - a job-search website. I have - SM

had applications "disappear" when doing that on even some of the biggest job-search engines, and later if I contact the company, I find out they never got my resume! I've learned to simply get the name of the company on the job-search engine, and instead of applying through that job-search page, to instead go to the company's own website, and apply through that. That might be helpful to you in the future.

Did anyone else get the message from Massanotti? What do you think? Also, I went to medquist.com and was struck by the fact that they are marketing front-end dictation systems with SpeechQ, thereby eliminating transcriptionists altogether! I am not surprised, any way to get us out of the picture will make them more money.
