roll out of 7 delayed - Tier 3 ME/MT

Posted: Dec 19, 2011

I'm laughing aloud as today I received an official email from the Q indicating that the roll out of version 7 has been delayed and no new date is set.

Just as said in this forum, there are those who are in the know and the rest of us just wait to learn the eventual truth.  :)

Happy Holidays!

here is a funny little story from tech person. sm - Sunflower

I had called up tech a few weeks ago about something and just in talking he said "MQ does everything right...they do not make any mistakes." I was kind of taken by surprise as I was not sure if he was being sarcastic or sincere although it was my first guess but was not about to argue. I then said "really" and he whispered really low and said "shhh...they might be listening." That was my good laugh for the day. Amazing something so trivial as that had made my whole day. I guess we all have just about the same feelings regarding the Q.

Nothing is ever on time - Been here for years

Never seen anything proceed according to schedule. Even in the old days when we had to receive paper copies of formats, doctor lists, etc., nothing was ever on time.

Or else fades away into nothingness. - Glory Daze

I've also seen things announced with much fanfare and then they just never seem to come about at all. This is just ho-hum business as usual...

OOOH I hope that happens this time too â€Â¦ - anon

With ALL of the innumerable problems with Medquist I do really like DocQScribe as a software, changing it would really suck. I know it's inevitable that we change to M*Modal but one can wish.

I remember calling up the QA people to listen to something on a dictation. - Sunflower

Those were the good old days, no time card, work whenever, work a gazillion hours if you wanted, bonuses. There were more pluses than minuses then.

I am glad 7 isn't rolling out. I have heard nothing about training for it. Anyone know if we are just supposed to do that on our own as my CCM has not given us any instructions on this.
Supposedly there is some sort of "beta team" - testing it right now

A few of them have posted here in the last week or so and have described some of the features. Lots of new "bells and whistles" to make our page look more pretty apparently, but not one new feature to help increase our production.

I hope it is delayed forever, like the bonus incentive - for hard dictators

or like "retrofitting every client profile" so they are all the same, or like the position of the knowlege coach or whatever it was, or like the grammar or tense corrector.

Or the shift lock out - Wasting time

It makes you wonder how many thousands of dollars are spent coming up with and almost implementing this stuff only to have it trashed. They probably could just ask us what we think and actually listen and could save millions.

oh yeah, and the schedule swap - that lasted for a minute

Forgot about that lock out (lock up) threat that lasted almost a year longer than the supposed roll out date. My CCM used to say over and over, "Well, once that lock out starts..."

They hire a bunch of monkeys to run the circus. If they would take away all these stupid idea contests, they could pay us a decent wage and they would not need to send out a dumb survey to find out why this company has such a bad name.

Shift lockout? New to being bought out by MQ, can you explain...nm - debyes

Shift lockout was supposed to work this way: If you tried to punch in earlier than 15 minutes before your shift, it wouldn't let you punch in. the same if you tried to work after your shift was officially over, it supposedly wouldn't let you work later than that. If you tried to work on your day off, it wouldn't let you punch in. This was a failure from conception.
It showed they have no idea about the frequency of NJA - and having to make up time

Every time you wanted to make up a shift, the CCM would have to go in schedule source and switch things around, instead of just saying "go ahead."

It also caused a problem with taking half-hour breaks which is required by law. Some people take breaks at different times and it would have been a pain to work around that.

Same with family emergencies and making up time.

Yeah, the suits have absolutely no clue of how things work in this company and it is painfully obvious.
Bet you they have never listed to 10 seconds of dictation either - They do not have a clue

They all seem to think you just type what you hear. How hard could it be? Don't need to pay someone very much to do that!

Job App - Message Delayed
Feb 25, 2014

Second time I applied for a position after seeing ad or mention on this board. Sent resume immediately upon seeing ad.  received message both times from postmaster saying "message delivery delayed." Checked that out on Google and apparently it is because of overwhelming response to ad. I am going to ask (while prepared for outraged hostile responses about American freedom) that people not flood companies with resumes unless you really are interested in the position.  I have seen mentio ...

So You Can't Roll Over 40 Hours PTO?
Dec 12, 2009

I always thought that you could carry over PTO under 40 hours into the new year but someone was telling me today that they did away with that policy or are doing away with that policy and that you will loose everything now and start fresh with PTO.... So is that true or is she just mistaken?  If that is the case I am SCREWED because I didn't ask for any time off this season and will lose about 30 hours.... so I hope it is not. ...

MT Roll In Malpractice Prevention - Are They Aware? (sm)
Oct 01, 2012

When I worked for several clients as a contractor for about 20 years, I don't think a day ever passed that I didn't make corrections to doctors who were exhausted or on auto pilot who made dictation errors that could cost them a fortune in a malpractice suit. It was right corrected to left breast, making sure the woman didn't have a surgical history of prostatectomy, nor a man having a TAH BSO, making sure allergies went where they would be noticed, and knowing when they were dic ...
