heard back from inhouse job! - Old School

Oh man I don't want to get my hopes up but I submitted my application the other day and today was asked to do the online "organizational fit assessment." I don't know if I answered the questions correctly but I did the best I could. So we'll see. Inhouse jobs don't come up very often in my community - almost never! and this one has other responsibilities too. I should add that I think I owe a lot to Preptel.com. It's a website I saw posted here a few months ago - you paste in the job description of the job you're looking for and also your resume, and it tells you what do change or add to make it stronger. Mine went from a 12, which is weak, to a 42, which is also weak, but better than a 12. I really doubt I would have heard anything at all if I had not used that tool. It's free too.

I told y'all that Preptel.com was a boost to anyone's resume. Things started turning around for me after I stumbled on it.

That said ... I think I also took the "organizational fit assessment" for one company I interviewed with. It's basically a personality analysis and a prospective employer can gain insight into characteristics you have. Example: Your answers might indicate that you're a strong team player but you also love drama in the workplace.

You would think they would have the decency to say either you passed the test or failed, or that we are no longer hiring and thank you for applying. Breitner's test was through MTTEST and I made it all the way to the practical part transcription test and feel I did very good. The UnitedTranscription test was on their website, and I believe I did good also. ...

They had said to try to take the test before the weekend so that they would have a chance to look at them and that they would get back to us immediately if we didn't pass the test. Hello: I interviewed today for a psychology practice that is offering $8.50/hour for a receptionist/transcriptionist position (for 3 psychologists).
