Has anyone heard back from ZyloMed? - adliesmom

Has anyone who applied within the last week to Zylomed heard anything back? I applied for the urology account and have six years of experience in this specialty, but I have not gotten a response. I am desperate for work, and I was hoping they would get back to me pretty quick. Has anyone heard ANYTHING??? Thanks.

That you're desperate. Then companies know they've possibly got some kind of handle on you, that you might work for 5 or 6 cents when the going rate is 8.

Just a friendly bit of advice. I'd also delete or edit that message if you can.

Good advice for everyone, considering suits and QA's read this board; do NOT put in your posts that you're desperate.

They can't pick out who is desperate and who is just looking for shoe-shopping money. I'm sure she did not put that in her resume or application.

MTs need all the help we can get, to get decent wages.

I never said the OP could be identified. just meant that if she puts that in her post, the suits could have some leverage over all applicants then, not just her.

additional consideration. "6 years in urology?" I'm virtually certain a recruiter IDed me from a post on a board (a nuance in her voice as she referred to certain things), but it was explaining how I keep my derriere in the work chair, so okay.

As said, even a possible ID with a post using negative words or thoughts might be disastrous. Competent professionals are what are wanted, and desperate doesn't fit that picture. There are a lot of low functioning dingalings in this business, and desperate could fit into that picture too easily.

I tell my 21-year-old son to mention he REALLY wants to work which can be construed as *desperate.* *Desperate times call for desperate measures* sometimes. Where I live the unemployment rate hovers around 15%. I would hire someone desperate over someone blase about job-hunting. Being desperate is not the same as accepting any pay under bad conditions. MT companies are not above it all, and MTs shouldn't feel pressured or intimidated.

Hi. I do appreciate the advice, but no, I did not put that I was desperate on my resume. Lol. I just really want to get back to work as soon as I can. This business we are in is so hit or miss. I guess I will just wait and see. Good luck to us all!

I applied for the ortho position a week or so back and still no reply except for the automated message saying to not contact them in that if they are interested then they will contact you as they keep resumes on file for 6 months. I have 15+ years of experience in acute care, including ortho.

I finally got a response from a real person explaining the position, pay, etc. She asked me to answer a few questions and said she would get back to me to test. Well, that was Wednesday and I haven't heard anything back. I really wanted this job. Maybe I will still hear something, but who knows???

Oh man I don't want to get my hopes up but I submitted my application the other day and today was asked to do the online "organizational fit assessment." You would think they would have the decency to say either you passed the test or failed, or that we are no longer hiring and thank you for applying. Breitner's test was through MTTEST and I made it all the way to the practical part transcription test and feel I did very good. The UnitedTranscription test was on their website, and I believe I did good also. ...

They had said to try to take the test before the weekend so that they would have a chance to look at them and that they would get back to us immediately if we didn't pass the test. I work for ZM and love it there, but we were recently acquired by Accentus and I hear they are big on VR. Also, the last Emdat update I took showed MModal Editor, which was not in the previous version, so I am wondering if this is the first step to VR at ZM, too.
