Can anyone on the Fusion platform share your production numbers and how long you have been working on it, I am kind of worried since it is VBC.

How are they about the line counts? Are they very strict about meeting the quota? I have read a lot of posts about others having a hard time making their lines. Have people been fired for not making lines even though the work quality is up to par?

The pay is better than most but the virtual black character line pay is horrific. I never made above 900 lines a day.

Actually I was told some were in word which pays for spaces but the Fusion platform is VBC, it pays a little more but I took a word document and divided the characters with and without spaces, took them times the line rate for word and for the Fusion platform and there was quite a difference, not sure the little bit more it pays will make up the difference, in abut 300 lines in word it was about 3.24 less in Fusion since spaces were not counted. Take 300 lines x4-5 and you get 1200/1500 lines a day and that adds up somewhere around 12-15 less a shift, which is about 50-75 a week and that is a pretty big difference.

I never say never because I think that tempts fate, but I hope I do not have to take a job that does not pay for spaces. It seems like more and more, every company looks for a way to pay less and less. They all have their justifications, but the bottom line, no matter how many times I hear 'work smarter, not harder,' the only answer left IS to work harder or at least longer. I am grateful that I have a job, and I am happy that my health allows me to work 60+ hour weeks, but it would be nice to find a job that pays me well enough that I could pay my bills and have a decent lifestyle with just one job. (Dream on, I know.)

At the risk of sounding like a ditz I have to ask but what is VBC?

You would think they would have the decency to say either you passed the test or failed, or that we are no longer hiring and thank you for applying. Breitner's test was through MTTEST and I made it all the way to the practical part transcription test and feel I did very good. The UnitedTranscription test was on their website, and I believe I did good also. ...
