Can anyone recommend a good small company that will pay a decent line rate, not make me learn a new platform and treat me with respect? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

does not require any effort on your part? If you do not know any platforms but want to work for an MTSO, most of which use some sort of transcription platform, how do you plan to get the work done if you don't learn the platform?

Sorry, Dennis. I guess none of the others had anything helpful to share. I have only worked in private practice (i.e. currently unemployed) so I have no idea what companies are good or not.

Every MTSO uses a platform or program.

Dennis wanted to find a company where he won't have to learn a new one, so the obvious question was, which one are you familiar with? Then it turned out he has only "copied and pasted" (??) and wants a rec for a company that "won't make me learn a new platform".

Doesn't make sense.

Trying to give him the benefit of a doubt - Maybe he worked in Meditech or something?

Hubby and step child will be home for the next 9 days making my work environment extremely noising and crazy. I need to get new headphones and wondered what everyone recommended. I have been an MT now for 10 years. My fingers and hands hurt horribly. I went yesterday and had nerve conduction studies done and I do NOT have carpal tunnel. The pain is just in my fingers. The doc says it is arthritis. Dear Friends: I went to my ENT on Monday and they did a hearing test and found that I have significant hearing loss in my left ear and to make it compatible with my right ear, which has much less hearing loss, they recommended that I get hearing aids.
