Selling to Viva Transcription - helen

I see people have posted about selling to Viva Transcription and I tried to post there but I couldn't see exactly how. Maybe this will work. I sold to them a year ago and had some serious reservations at first. They didn't really do anything wrong or against the contract but I had a tough time sleeping regardless. I spoke with some of the mt's after the deal closed who said the new manager was a complete robot and never listened to their personal concerns. This is significant since one of the mt's had a mother she had to care for with severe mental issues. I always prided myself on giving her all the time she needed whenever she did. Anyway, she was upset because VIva was not able to work around her schedule and I felt guilty for puttingher in that situation. THEN, about 4 months ago I noticed I started to receive more each month from Viva. It turns out they integrated with two emr's at two of my old clinics and then landed the related hospital accounts. My last check was over 10,200 dollars which is like twice what I used to get from them. I still wish they were more acomodating with Jane, but I sure do feel good about the fact that they were able to grow my clients and my payout.

if they integrated with two hospitals, shouldn't your payout have increased more than that?

Wow, this worked... it looks like 70 people have read this already.

to answer your question, they say the payments should continue to go up for a few months until both hospitals are fully functioning on their system. I am not going to count any chickens. we'll see.

Yes, I received another very large check this month. It was in fact more than the previous month.

I did hear that one of the mt's quit though. Apparently they got on her case for not showing up for 3 days and didn't let them know. She was always pulling that kind of thing with me, but she always had a good reason for it. I suppose I can understand them getting frustrated with her and I guess if was her decision to quit so....

I had a similar experience although not as lucrative as what you are describing. They were able to get a few doctors from three different clinics to work with us. I'd never been able to do this (I didn't know some of them even were part of the practice). Anyway, the result is I am now receiving about 400 dollars a month more than I was when we first started out. Not as good as a hospital, but still pretty nice.

Same thing happened to me. Not an entire hospital, but they got the entire umbrella organization to work with them. My checks went up about a thousand dollars. Wish it was a hospital.

I have been typing for viva for a year now and just received word from them that they were relocating my accounts to a back end voice rec system due to industry pressures for faster turnaround time and lower pricing for clients. Apparently my accounts, which aren't particularly difficult (no accents etc) were chosen for transfer while many others were not. Would someone explain to me how is that this company can legally pay us a lower rate for ASR compared to transcription?
