A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
I supervise a group of transcriptionists who are offsite but work as hourly employees. They work on a Nuance editing platform, but also do Radiology. Currently they are required to do 15 min/hr and do 15 xrays/hr on an editing platform (PowerScribe) as well.
The numbers are outdated and I want to up the amount of xrays they edit an hour, but am unsure what the industry standards are. Does anyone know:
1. What the industry standard is for how many x-rays you are required to edit an hour?
2. What the industry standard is for how many mins/hr you are supposed to do on an editing platform?
Currently my editors do between 30-100 minutes in a full day (8 hours). Since this is an editing platform, i think they should be able to do more, since I can do 3 hours/day with my other duties.....but am looking for more of the standard out there :).
Thanks in advance for any input!
