I don't mean to sound like a dink, but I'm wicked exhausted from working my fingers to the bone, 7 nights a week for several weeks now, because people who were hired to work the graveyard shift are flaking out and not showing up or pulling their weight.
No, I don't HAVE to work 7 nights a week, and yet I'm doing it because I'm terrified the wonderful little company that I've worked for, for nearly 11 years now, will lose this really big account that has been their lifeblood for so many years.
I know for a fact that the people who were hired to work were most likely were referred to my employer from this site because I saw the ad posted myself a while back but they pulled it due to an overwhelming response. I saw the ad and it was very specific and very clear on what they needed. No surprises as far as what was expected. This company goes above and beyond to accomodate people's needs as far as time off/switching time, etc. Almost to the point that I think they are especially soft and lenient, so when I see them getting taken advantage of, I get tweeked.
So, to say I'm disappointed in that fact that people really are proving to be what some "suits" are saying we are (unreliable, flaky, not on the same page) is beyond an understatement. If you are hired for a particular shift and a particular workload, and you say you are qualified for the position and have a heck of a work ethic, please, PLEASE just back that up and do it!
That's all I wanted to say. Thanks for reading.
