OSI and Keystrokes - typetypetype!

Just wondering about OSI and Keystrokes. I recently have applied to both of these and looks like I could be hired by either one (have already done the testing). Could anyway tell me how they are to work for. Do they do voice recognition? And anyone know their pay rates?

Good luck with them. If you like to wait to get started and games and lies, you like to play games and get low pay and paid differently because you don't know what others are making, then your in.

I don't care what others are making, because that is none of my business, and I make a good line rate (9 cpl). I work on a steady account and do 12,000 to 15,000 lines a pay period. I have not seen game playing or lies and it took 2 weeks to get started.

I am glad that I work for them; I think they are one of the only MTSO's that actually care about their employees. I love that they do not use offshore transcription, and they do not overhire.

I have several friends who also work at KS, and they all are happy there too.

With so many other MTSO's cutting rates, cutting out benefits, overstaffing, etc, KS is one of the good ones!

I too know several people who had a bad experiences, like no work all day and 85 cents a page for VR and 5 reports in 8 hours. I have several who never got a paycheck. There are a lot of stories, and I did deal with the lies, maybe it was because of one of the the situation at the time. Not good when they come in to take over the hospital. Maybe you don't care what others are making, and that is fine, but when they were paying 1.25 a page years ago and then you get .85 cents and then tell a person 9 cents and give them 8, yes, it does make a big difference. Hope your luck never runs out.

They still pay $1.10 and up for regular radiology transcription and less for VR editing, same as every other company out there. I have heard other companies as low as $0.50 for a VR edited report. Never got a paycheck? If they did that, they would not be in business. I have been there for 3-1/2 years and have never heard of someone not getting paid.

Sounds like sour grapes here, like you are bitter that they took over the hospital you worked at. Lucky for you and your co-workers that it wasn't one of the Indian companies; been there, done that.

No sour grapes my friend...reality. No bitterness at all...listen in 1970s the services started infiltrating. Having them come in and make promises to the CEOs is something you get used to. Lies, you don't believe any of it as they will deny and then the day they let you go, you are watched to pack up. The service not paying people...excuse me. I think 3-1/2 years does not qualify for experience. Don't say it isn't so. I am not talking about VR either. Fair is fair. Equal pay for equal jobs..not cherry picking. I have typed the worst and always sarted at the bottom.

Very hard to believe you get 2000 lines and have time to stick up for this company. Sounds like managment, brownie or the top of the block that can go out to lunch on the profits.

Equal pay for equal jobs? I think it depends on the account, your experience, your length of time with them and what kind of work you do. There is no set rate across the board, at least not anywhere I've worked.

3-1/2 years doesn't qualify for experience? I have 32 years in transcription, 3-1/2 with Keystrokes. I think that's plenty of experience, even to someone like you.

It depends on your luck and what team lead you get. Managment is too laissez-faire to care about how employees are treated as long as leads are happy.

and QA dings me for one. Unbelievable. That's what it averages for 1400 lines a day full-time. Even with 3 cups of coffee and an office chair seat belt, it's no easy feat. Ninety-thousand keystrokes PER DAY. That's not including the ADT, the Internet look-ups, etc. Throw me a bone here, QA. How many keystrokes to you do, PERFECTLY?? ...

How is it? The trainer says it is one of the easiest platforms to learn on if you've never done it. Said the threshold is set high at like 85% (not sure what that means) and it proves to be very lucrative for some. Anyone have any experience with it they could share? I'm a bit confused with Keystrokes. The ad they have placed here indicates wanting 40 people for new accounts, etc. However, I just received an email about job openings for only 2 very heavy ESL 1-9 shifts. I don't understand why they would have this ad and yet only be sending info about only the 2 jobs. I'm in their DATABASE and am sent these emails according to what opens up.
