I have never seen such a disorganized operation. We've been getting forms periodically emailed. Many forms don't have adequate instructions on where they're supposed to be sent. State tax forms haven't been sent to everyone as they should have been. Some employees haven't even gotten news about what they'll be paid next year, and yet they're expected to choose benefits without knowing what they'll be earning.

This has been incredibly stressful and unnecessarily so. Is this typical of the way Alphastaff/Nuance operates? Is it like this at enrollment every year? I've never seen such a mess.

Part of QA already went through a change in Nov, moving from production to hourly. Who knows what the future holds, but apparently no more changes for QA at the moment.

There are specialty accounts up in the air - under review right now

There are some accounts that are not typed in Enterprise that are paid by the job or the dictated minute, that go by "line credits" of "X" lines per job, DM, etc. They are "still reviewing" the way these accounts are paid and won't tell us yet what they're planning on doing. This might not affect a lot of people but for those of us that have these accounts as our primary, or type on several of them, it is definitely a big deal to us what sort of pay adjustments they have in mind. The CPL pay cut is bad enough, making our bonus at their QA whim is a second cut, taking away our 2nd shift differential and weekend differential is a third cut, but cutting our line credits AS WELL would be a quadruple whammy and the last straw. For many of us it will be the deciding factor whether to stay or go.

No part-time line requirements were mentioned in the taped message. I sent a message to whoever was named as the contact person, and got this reply:

"Part time line requirements would be about half of full time".

About half? What the heck does that mean?

They definitely don't have their act together. There was a deadline for us to turn in I-9's a month ago, yet they are still treating that like a new issue. Nothing but threats and demands - if we want to get paid we must jump through a million hoops and suck up the pay and benefit cuts. Can we please have an hour of so of UNPAID personal time for our families instead of spending it wading through all this transition drama? Must our holidays be completely eclipsed by paperwork, deadlines and bad news? Wmx/Nuance - the Grinch that ruined this Christmas!

If you are an IC, forget it. It's like pulling teeth. Every week a new requirement comes out. Yup - they had months to figure it out but it looks like there are too many cooks in the kitchen and they're not talking to each other.

A $2,500 deductible for individuals? Are you nuts? $5,000 for families? Are you going to give us ANY paid holidays? Or are you going to make it so we no longer get any paid holidays just like the rest of your poor employees? Here I sit twiddling my thumbs because I can't work my regular schedule. When I signed on today, the audio was so low I could barely hear it. Muddled through the first report, straining. I have never wanted to be fired so badly in my life.  I have worked in some real feces factories in my day, but this one beats them all.  How on earth do they expect any MLS to care about any of these reports if they aren't going to pay us a decent wage?  I hope the stock crashes.  If the rest of the company is managed as poorly as the transcription division, it's only a matter of time until it does.  ...

Anyone hear any rumblings yet about Open Enrollment?  Last year at this time we were already sent emails to "get ready" for it...so far this year, nothing.  I heard that other companies were making the spousal/partner "penalty" for not taking insurance was going to go up to $500!  We are now paying $100/month...let's hope that won't be the case, as that would essentially be one of my paychecks.  Wonder what surprises are in store for us.  Maybe we won' ...

I was on family UHC Choice and now being forced to MS HRA.  My deductable went from 1500 to 6000!!  Max out of pocket from 5000 to 20,000!!  Instead of paying a $25/50/100 copay for my doctor/specialist/ER visits, its 30% after the outrageous deductable.  But they cover routine physical 100% and they contribute $500...bah!  Fuming. ...
