My former employer sold the transcription department down the river. My pay is now $9.01 less than before, had to give up my 401K, health insurance is basically worthless to me ($2500 deductible on everything).... BUT I'm supposed to be happy that I have a job. Anybody else in the same boat?

Only $2500 deductible? Mine's $5000. I quit the day - SocSec kicks in. Soon now. nm

The new insurance deductible for a family (employee and spouse) is $7500 before they pay their 75%. Plus if you have a colonoscopy (which is supposed to be no charge)--if anything is four, you have to pay for the procedure. In January we will start all over again with a new deductible. Thanks to all who booted for Obama in 2008. Obamacare is why the hospital based transcription departments are closing. For all of you who think these MTSOs are so wonderful, you have no idea how transcriptionists had it qt years ago and before that by having hospital based jobs with vacation pay, sick days, holidays.

Hospital based transcription departments started closing way more than 4 years ago. Our jobs started going overseas way more than 4 years ago.

Hate Obama all you want, but at least try to be truthful. We all know the "real" reason you people hate Obama.

A $2,500 deductible for individuals? Are you nuts? $5,000 for families? Are you going to give us ANY paid holidays? Or are you going to make it so we no longer get any paid holidays just like the rest of your poor employees? I have never seen such a disorganized operation. We've been getting forms periodically emailed. Many forms don't have adequate instructions on where they're supposed to be sent. State tax forms haven't been sent to everyone as they should have been. Well, at my company, if there is a low volume of work and you cannot meet your line count you are placed on part-time status and cannot regain full-time status until you have met your commitment for 90 days. I'm a newer employee of 4 months and STILL trying to meet my full time status by making $900 a pay period. I really don't want to work more than 40 hours a week to do this. As June is approaching us, I suggest that anyone who has health benefits appeal to upper management (I emailed Vern and got a decent reply) to please consider better benefits. It is nice, I suppose, for those able to participate in the 401K, and those who would gain from the benefits.
