I just need to know if I am the only one that cries everyday on this job.  I can barely even see through my tears to post this message.  First I get a good report, but then I know that I will be barraged with at least 2 or more bad ones after that.  It is nothing but a roller coaster and now I can't even find a way to locate and listen to a transcribed report returned to me as bad.  It is impossible to focus under this pressure of never knowing when the email is coming or the phone will ring saying goodbye.  I flourished in my previous transcription job, but this company is so unorganized they don't even know what is going on.  AND it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep up with every tiny thing every hospital and/or doctor wants when you have multiple hospitals and hundreds of doctors.  RIDICULOUS!!!!!

similar to this today. Sometimes, I just feel like I can't stand one more minute of this. I used to LOVE this job. The CPs are nothing but a cluster*#&%. Do this, but not on Tuesday if it's a full moon, unless it's Dr. Appleeater or his PA, Ms. Giggles. Dr. Gagme gets to use the patient's name in the report because he threw such a fit, but nobody else! Unless they throw a fit, too. Read the last 14 pages of e-mails for further clarification. And you'd better get your line count up!

any more; used to. I posted similarly last week and was so upset, I did something wrong and it didn't post. But yeah, getting sick of being picked at and yeah for every good report, they'll find mistakes no matter what. What's worse is when you get feedback that isn't correct (not audit), so you get more confused. I'm trying to tell myself if I lose my job, it must have been meant to be, although I can't afford to.

the same mistakes over and over and have for years, i.e., wrong work type and/or dictator/dictator for, that we are responsible for; the same ones doing the same thing, I know because I've learned when I get that report, they usually do that. They still have not corrected it but we keep getting held to a higher and higher standard.

Don't get me started. I think I could rant for at least a day and feel NO better about it. Looking for solutions out of this but nothing yet.

The way I see it, I think it's come down to most - of us not being able to afford to KEEP this job!

They pay us the LEAST they can get away with paying, which most of the time boils down to illegally below minimum wage. Their pay scale and QA specifics are as convoluted as their job descriptions and emails. Little wonder the government hasn't cracked down on them, because either they've been fooled by these companies' lies, or just don't understand what they're doing, so they ignore it. Or both.

I recently got fired, and you know what? It's not the end of the world. Far from it. Unemployment is better than the crumbs my company paid me, and it's always the same amount each time - something I can depend on (for now). Far better than that scumbag MTSO!

If I find another job, fine. If I don't, and my UE runs out, whatever. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying every minute of my freedom this summer. Don't let fear of losing your job force you to stay in it longer than is healthy. Good luck!

Yes, the disorganization of the overpaid administrators is ridiculous. Some client profiles even make you type stuff the incorrect way just to please who is pulling the strings! This is no way to run a professional operation that is so vital to the serious health needs of the patients. Oh, and I am so tired of it always being my fault when the doctor doesn't even know what he is trying to say!!! This company treats healthcare like it is a joke.

I am taking some positive steps..though, hopefully I will be out of here soon..This job is like an abusive relationship, it really does brainwash you into thinking your worthless. Now these ridiculous failed jobs, for adding an s and a comma,,,for freaking real???

I "liked" your post only because I am in total agreement. Nearly every day I want to just pull my hair out at the crap I have to wade through. I've found that it is extremely liberating to leave blanks...lots and lots of blanks. And then just move on. Just wanted to let you know that you are definitely not alone.

the patient that signs all the privacy statements when entering the hospital only knew his medical information was going to "another country" what are the chances they are going to say, "Sure, go ahead and send it."  Hey, isn't that what "privacy is all about??  I don't think all the old steelworkers and other unionized people would go for that.  If only they knew!!  That is just not what someone sits around and thinks about...Hmmm, wonder where my med recs are toda ...

Okay.  Finished report that original MT was in India.  Went to 2 different QA editors, nothing corrected.  Came to me.  I made over 50 corrections.  If this is any indication of their work, our jobs are safe.  Ridiculous and diiscouraging at the same time. ...

Here I sit twiddling my thumbs because I can't work my regular schedule. When I signed on today, the audio was so low I could barely hear it. Muddled through the first report, straining. I have never wanted to be fired so badly in my life.  I have worked in some real feces factories in my day, but this one beats them all.  How on earth do they expect any MLS to care about any of these reports if they aren't going to pay us a decent wage?  I hope the stock crashes.  If the rest of the company is managed as poorly as the transcription division, it's only a matter of time until it does.  ...
