Has anyone heard of this company? I looked through the archives and couldn't find anything. Thanks for any information.

Yes, I worked for them for a short period. Never any problems with pay. Did not like their system (download jobs and then upload jobs) and work was "feast or famine" but never had any problems with management. As long as you do good quality work, should be smooth sailing. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I mainly work at night. When you said the work is "feast or famine" do you imagine I would have a problem getting work when I sign on at night?
Are there a lot of ESL docs?

I transcribed only radiology, and after a certain time there was no more work. However, if you are doing acute care, that may be a different scenario.

I worked for them 3 years and 10 months. I thought they were just taken over by MD-IT? All the people that I know that still work for them, they still work on the same accounts, but they work for MD-IT. Yes, they have a lot of ESL doctors. I did Acute Care, never Radiology. I did all types of reports except the actual Radiology reports. They did have something called Radiology Therapy report which I typed a lot of though. They insisted that I buy a file shredder program called Secure Clean, which I didn't have the money for, and so they terminated me.

Thanks for all of the feedback. Can you tell me if you are assigned a specific doctor(s) or if you go into a system and just pull what is there.

No, you are never assigned a specific doctor. You have to pick off the top. If you don't that is called cherrypicking. I asked if I could be assigned a specific doctor and they said that wouldn't be fair to the rest of the IC, that we have to take the good with the bad.
Saw hiring ad, Googled it, came up from this article from last year. Recent MD-IT acquisition. Just FYI (neither yay nor nay, just info).

Really???? Dictation by a particular doctor who drives my count into the toilet and always has really long reports came up at about the time I was going to take my dinner break. My company just told me they were trying to bring on some projects where there would be multiple people speaking, like in a conference/meeting, about healthcare. They said they wanted me to transcribe it and to include time stamps every 5 minutes. How do you keep track of who is speaking? At almost everyone of our weekly meetings there is a coworker who complains about everything. She is never happy and monopolizes each and every meeting. I know she doesn't speak for me, not sure about everyone else, but she speaks up as though she has conferenced with us all and that we are all in agreement. my line count, glug, glug down the crapper. Have gone over the tutorials about a dozen times, but there are sooo many changes, the main one being in the appearance of the screen. Also, some key commands stay the same, some now do something totally different, plus there are new ones.

Let's face it, striking will do no good. Complaining about off-shoring has done no good, unless that will cease at a national level for all industries. Complaining about pay is doing no good, since there is always an MT that will take a job at any rate. What can we do?

Does this also mean that you will constantly be in the cesspool because of doing other BOB's?
