Lofin/Intellitype - any information - been around MT

For those who have recently dealt with this company and were involved with the lack of work because the company lost a major account, have you heard anything about the new account that was supposed to be coming on board around October 1st? Thanks for any information. I hope everyone has been managing to survive this lack of work.

What I did was find new work in the interim and will go back to doing some work for them when they have it. I did call yesterday to check in and basically told everything was the same as far as plans and that I would be sent an e-mail when things were getting ready to start up. Maybe the new account is going to start later in October or maybe they just said something about a new account to keep people to do what little work it sounds like they have?

I worked there in the late 1990s when Rick and his wife owned it. By any chance, does the big account start with a C and is based in Southern California?

Yes, same owner. Wife still involved. Yes, that would be the huge long-standing oncology account that they lost. I understand that it went to 2 different services, and not to VR as the MTs were told. And the company knew it was history for quite some time. The complaints from the client were ongoing.

I worked on that very account for 3+ years. That is a big, big loss. My heart goes out to all of you are waiting for replacement accounts. Hope that happens very soon for all of you.

I see this company has an ad after a long time of not being around. That, of couse, would be because they lost a huge account, as well as a couple of other accounts last summer. Then they claimed there would be a new account ready by Oct. 1st. That did not materialize. Last I knew, many MTs took a hike. Many reasons not to work for this company. Check the archives. Whenever I have looked for a new job in the past, I have always had several offers a day or two after I started looking. The thing that I am concerned about is they said in their introduction that, "Production time is tracked off the technology system and monitors the time you are actually in the document working (hands on the keyboard or foot on the pedal).
