Lofin/Intellitype Tech issues - just an MT
Posted: Dec 14, 2010
I see this company has an ad after a long time of not being around. That, of couse, would be because they lost a huge account, as well as a couple of other accounts last summer. Then they claimed there would be a new account ready by Oct. 1st. That did not materialize. Last I knew, many MTs took a hike. Many reasons not to work for this company. Check the archives. Biggest problem was lack of work, especially weekends. They were also well known for having the rude habit of contacting you by phone and asking people to work, which made no sense when there rarely was enough work to go around. Tech issues on their system were a problem, as their servers were always going down.
I thought the other account came on, but - Huh

it was much later than they had originally stated. Did it start and then not work out?

Intellitype Apr 06, 2010Whenever I have looked for a new job in the past, I have always had several offers a day or two after I started looking. Now, I spend hours testing only to get offers of 3 cpl for VR and 6 cpl for standard transcription. I have survived as a single parent all of these years, having a good career as an MT, and I haven't been able to pay bills for the last year. Everyone is frustrated with the industry. It is not the economy - it is the huge outsourcing that has d ...

Lofin Transcription. Any Opinions? Feb 28, 2012I don't see much in the archives within the last year on them. I know someone who just started with them and really likes it. Set her own schedule, says the ExText platform is easy, is off QA already, and says they leave you alone to work. Sounds great, but I guess I would like to know if that's the norm. ...

DH brought up a good question tonight. I have recently moved from my old faithful with 80 MB hard drive with 512 memory to 380 GB hard drive with 3 MB memory. i have had nothing but problems with Escription and not making my lines. I can't just use the shortcut keys and I can't use my expander. Radiology Tech Job? Dec 05, 2012Does anybody know what is involved in becoming a radiology tech? You know, doing mammos, CTs, etc. I know one needs schooling, but is there a lot of math, geometry, spatial stuff, and things like that? I am NOT good in those things, so I don't want to invest any time or money trying to do something that I know I'm not good at.
Thanks, just checking into other careers besides this!

Tech People Oct 11, 2014Honestly, why is it that tech wants to make an MTs' life miserable.
Just got a new thing to fill out and I cannot open it. I have never used Excel if that is what it is.
My computer has no program for me to open it.
At any rate, I wonder why these people have to make things so hard.
This new computer, a Windows 7 (which I had to have to do my work) is so complicated now.
You don't get these other programs like you did on the other computers. You have to buy Word, Excel ...
FutureNet Tech Dec 16, 2014I was hired by FNT a couple of months ago and have found their editing platform less than ideal as it relates to production. It's awkward and cumberson, allowing neither keyboard or mouse proficiency; it's a bad combination of both.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has worked at FutureNet and found the secret to making money with their no-name platform that's Word based but does not allow auto-correct and has reassigned Word keyboard commands for their own use.
