Is anyone else on a KS account that only gets - a few dictated reports/hour?

We are supposed to do 12 reports/hour but the work is not there. I no longer respond to the e-mails where they say they want to help you get more work and not make peanuts. What joke! Not only that my lead has been on cherry picking when there is hardly any work.

It was her and I on a new account and she kept telling me there was no work. Then the company shorted me 100.00 and between the two, I decided they were not run well.

Was there for several months but finally quit after being lied to REPEATEDLY by the production coordinator and her assistant. There was NO WORK, and they kept making excuses for WHY there was no work and asking me to "hang in there." Well I've been in this biz too long to fall for the lame reasons they gave. They kept saying they were getting new accounts when in fact they were LOSING them. To top it all off, 90% of the people in the main office/HQ that I dealt with were incompetent and extremely disorganized.

Look elsewhere; you'll be happy you did.

There are Several acute care accounts overflowing with work that need good MTs!! I have been with KS now for 7 months and I love it. My account is an MTs dream account with low ESL and easy lines; however, it seems no one wants to work a weekend or produce quality reports. I am making phenomenal money with more work than I can handle.

There are accounts that need good MTs and the ability to make $$$$ if you are willing to work. I know this for a fact as my lead and coordinator are looking to fill positions!!

You have been there for 7 months and you have information regarding who wants to work weekends, produce quality reports. You are making "phenomenal money" - and no one else at KS has work. Of course your work must be high quality because no one but you wants to produce quality work. You know about the accounts and who is trying to fill positions on which ones. This is bull. There is basically no communication between MTs and coordinators unless it is negative or unless they are using you like Kleenex and telling you whatever it takes to wring you out. You are either management cheerleader or you are being used by KS. Sigh - what a company!

Maybe you are one of the cherry pickers who takes the easy work leaving the harder stuff for someone else. As far as overtime and weekends, I hope you are getting overtime, it is a federal law anything over 40 hours is to be paid in overtime, not just gift cards.

You people are hilarious! Anyone who has anything positive to say about KS has to be a suit!

My team has COMMUNICATION!!! Our workload is OVERWHELMING. There are several team leads and coordinators at KS, not just ONE.

I've not been lied to or let down by anyone since I've started at KS. Everyone has been totally HONEST with me. Sorry YOUR experience was horrible.

My account is IS an MTs DREAM acount with low ESL and easy dictators. I'm transcribing 16,000+ lines a pay period, easy.

So, you can be a negative Naysayer all you want to be. I have a feeling it doesn't matter where YOU WOULD BE, YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING NEGATIVE.

I'm just glad I didn't listen to the negative PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD like YOU when I made my decision to take a job at KS!!! It almost cheated me out of a great JOB.

phenomenal money. Unless of course, they are paying above 10 cents a line, then I certainly wouldn't mind getting on that train. As it is, transcriptionist top pay is going down to 8 cents a line, if you're lucky and then they want you to be an IC at that. The 16,000 lines a pay period isn't that impressive in my opinion. Just saying!!!

the account I'm on is not busy enough and I asked my supervisor the other day for more work... I do work M-F and now work a few hours on the weekend too so I'm putting in a bunch of hours for hardly any pay. My supervisor gave me a list of what needed help, a total of two accounts, and if I took those, I'd be working 24 hours, 7 days a week! I don't know what to do... I'm thankful that I moved recently and now have a roommate but this is getting ridiculous.

You need to read that one again. We are MTs, and our opinion is just as valid as yours and we can post here, too. You are taking it way too personal that there are many MTs like it there. I wonder what the story behind that is. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I am not management, QA, or a team lead. I am just an MT who cares about my job. I am very passionate about what I do. I have been in this field for a LONG time. I have lost accounts due to poor quality Work, outsourcing companies, and the inability to stay in TAT due to inreliable MTs not showing up for shifts or producing their share of work.

I do know a little about what is going on with my account as communication is open on our team. So quit calling me a Suit because I care about my JOB!!

The majority of KS employees are HAPPY!! There are approximately 500 of us!! The handful of you coming here and spreading your sour grapes does affect the overall image of KS though, as the rest of us are busy producing.

So YES I take negative lies about KS personally. I know for a fact they will work with you if you are not happy on your account. All you have to do is call HR. Instead of coming here and starting your crap, do something about it within the company and change your situation!!! Did posting here change anything? How's it working out for ya?

Do you think these negative posts come from people who just linger around with nothing to do but post about KS? They come from people who have been there or are there and have been burned. People who have gone through the same need to defend KS as you. They stayed, tried to believe the emails asking for opinions, promising work, asking for suggestions (never a good idea). They believed the lies about new accounts coming on board, slow accounts and hung in there with bank accounts going into overdraft. They faced overhiring, late paychecks, bad insurance to no insurance, poor management, no communication, no QA or being QA'd to death. Some experienced upper management nightmares and left with self confidence shattered to go somewhere and heal. Unless you have been through this, you just don't know. Yes, you have the right to love your job - but they have definitely earned the right to disagree and sound the alarm about this truly bad company. If you love it today - great. It won't last because it is not a good company and you will find that out. If you are not an MT, but someone trying to make things sound good - it is too little too late. The word is out and there are to many of us who know what it was like. This is a place to share opinions and experiences. If opinions make you angry, I have to wonder why you should care what others think or experienced since you are so happy. Calm down and live your own experience and let others have theirs. It may not be true for you but it is obviously true for those who take the time to post their own take on KS or any other company on this board.

If and when there comes a time to what you say it true, I will NOT wait around. IF you wait to the point until you have to file bankruptcy, that's YOUR FAULT. You and ONLY you have to protect yourself. You cannot blame KS. I will NOT wait around if my account stays dry. I will be looking for another job immediately! I cannot go without $$$ and they know that now.

I am responsible for my own success and livelihood, not KS. If there's no work, I am responsible for doing something about it, either making sure I am given another account and hounding someone until that happens or testing, testing, and testing until I find another job. It's up to ME. I don't depend on ANYONE BUT ME nor do I BLAME anyone BUT ME if I can't BURNT.

When you move on, you will be able to heal and not always be drawn to this board to reopen your wounds for all to hear about again and again. You constantly re-live it. In life in general, there is always something to shatter your self-worth, but no one has to stay there. A difference of OPINION based on experience does not call for anger. Period.

Calling someone a liar that you don't know, regarding a situation you were not involved in is, well, just not done.

There's no fight here in what anyone, including you, are saying ABOUT KS. Seems the fight here is over you sending the message loud and clear that anyone who does not agree with you are liars and at fault.

I am not sure if this is going on with your accounts, but I have noticed on my primary that there are a lot of old reports in there, from days and days ago. A few weeks back my team leader said ignore those TAT times because they were pulling old stuff for "training." It started with DS, and now I notice that there are old H&Ps and Consults in there. Did anyone ever contact a hospital after your account was lost to find out where it went and you were still employed with the former MTSO that had the account. Concerned about doing this if the hospital were to contact the MTSO and still employed there but not overly happy anymore. I currently provide transcription to various speciality clinics using a call-in system for the dictation, typing in Word and uploading via FTP site. I was contacted by a hospital to do their transcription. They asked if my transcriptionists could type in their VPN program. Can anyone tell me how I would do QA on this then? This would be a new system to me and I really want the account. ...

Ouir BOB lost another large account and now there are too many MTs. So, about 8-12 are being moved. The account that I transcribe is going to be almost 100% ASR, and the account is being transferred to the Canadian MTs. Apparently the poor Canadians don't have enough work. They do, however, get free health insurance. Now we not only have to worry about the Indians, but the Canadians too. I can guarantee they are being paid less. ...

The doc has contacted me and we are to meet today at his office. He has such a heavy accent, I could hardly understand what he was saying. He is in need of a transcriptionist, and has 50 charts needing to be transcribed. Not sure what type of equipment he has as of yet, but obviously he must have some kind. How do I charge him. I thought about by the line at maybe 12 cpl, but his accent is so heavy, I am thinking it will take me a while before being productive ...

I have always worked on such great accounts for good money. Now, I cannot find something that is even average pay.
