TransTech MTs on new account - just wondering

You know, the one that started just a couple of weeks ago or so. Just wondering how it is. Dictators good?

I believe I know precisely which account you're speaking of, and I had heard the same thing from a friend of mine who worked on this account for another MTSO...About a 50/50 split between heavenly and horrendous, very little middle ground. I believe I'm supposed to train for backup on it and I'm going into training with great apprehension, lol!

Good luck to those on it, though, and I hope it turns out to be better than what I've heard. I'd love for all of us to be on wonderful accounts.

The few MTs on the account at the other MTSO were right, then, 50% wonderful, 50% horrendous?

That's going to make working on that account the ultimate crapshoot when a dictation drops down into the queue, lol!

It'll be like playing a one-armed bandit at a casino, lol!

At first I was thrilled because the dictators I was getting on the new account were clear (even the ESL docs) and pretty easy compared to what I've been used to over the past few years, then some of the frequent flier HORRIBLE dictators started showing up (one of the ER docs, for instance) who basically churn out a multitude of 1- to 2-minute dictations in which you can make out maybe 1 word in 10, if you're lucky.

Anyone else notice over the past few payperiods that the paychecks are lower and lower.. My line counts were more this past payperiod and check was $80 less.. If this keeps up, my days are numbered.

If it does, it is the one I have been stuck on, too. I have complained about this account and the HORRIBLE dictators, the horrible names that I don't have a clue how to spell, etc. I get the same answer-- "oh, just wait until you get used to them". I don't think anybody will ever get used to them as bad as they are.

I have never seen so many IDIOT , native English speaking, dictators in one group before. Never mind all the E4L (skip 2nd language , these ar 4th at best) dictators who mumble and muddle through. Hi there fellow TT MTs:) Do any of you ever have trouble with QA at TT. Lately, I have been afraid to send anything in for correction, particularly 1 person, who dissects my reports down to crossing my Ts and dotting my Is. I know she is probably just doing her job well, and I know being in QA is a hard job, but this is getting depressing. I am not a newbie by any means, and I know my job well. I started a new thread because I noticed your question about TransTech waaaay down at the bottom of the page and with no responses yet, so here goes... In my personal experience, nothing has changed from the older posts. Even today, I have 4 accounts and I'm currently waiting for work to come into my queue. For some reason, the EditScript would not come up. So I got rid of satellite and had Verizon Wireless installed. So far this is working pretty good. Much better than satellite -- knock on wood. some part-timers anyway, why not offer weekends to part-timers and offer some Mon-Fri shifts for the experienced full-time MTs you're trying to get..... That's about the only way you're going to get many experienced quality MTs. And there are always plenty of MTs looking for part-time weekend work as a 2nd job. ...
