Saturdays are usually the busiest day so this doesn't bode well. I guess this just gives me time to test for a company that just emailed me yesterday. There has to be something out there better than this. If my other 2 jobs had enough work for me to go full time I would do it in a heartbeat, but they, unlike this miserable excuse for a company (SoftScript), do NOT overhire so I am just thankful I have the part-time work with them.

Guess tonight it is ice cream and movies ... not really so bad, albeit not so profitable. :-)

SoftScript bites. I'm not sure what happened to their work supply, but it seems you can only s - JMO

I suggest that you skip over the posts you do not like and YOU stop complaining. I personally wish I had seen the out-of-work posts before I accepted a position with the company, and I feel obligated to warn people. Some people, unlike you, apparently, are not here every day to read every post.

I agree with the other poster, though. Karma is a bit** ... when it is your turn, I hope you receive better than you have given.

It can drive you crazy trying to figure out what's going on at SS--or maybe any transcription company where you work in isolation from the other employees. Are MTSOs like this as a rule? Other than the managers, I don't even know anyone's name, so I come to this board to find out what's going on with other SS employees. And since this board is anonymous these people may not even be SS employees, but I'm desperate for some human contact. I miss the days when that HR person (since fired) used to screw up and send me email addressed to other people. At least then I knew the names of some of the people I was working with!

I have just about given up on SS and I am actively looking for another job. I do not understand the hostility of these other posters, but I am giving them all of the consideration they deserve.

I'm glad when you post as it makes me realize I am not all alone in this mess. I didn't even know the HR guy was fired. I just thought maybe he left for greener pastures.

Obviously, accounts have been lost because the ID numbers of those accounts no longer appear on the update reports. It's rare to see the announcement of a new account. I've started half-heartedly looking for a new job, too. My last check was down 25% of normal, and there is never any additional work to offset the lack of work during my shift. It was never this way before. There was lots of work and you could type whenever you wanted to. It's completely different now. I don't know who those posters are who have plenty of work, but I suspect that they might have typed the word "hallucination" one too many times!

BTW, the latest HR guy wasn't fired to my knowledge. There was an HR person before him (woman) who was rude and horrible. She was the one who would inadvertently forward resumes filled with personal information as global email, then ask us to delete them and forget we'd read them. I also received email meant for other MTs. Makes me wonder who got mine .

I used to work Sundays and wish I could again today just to keep you company. We could both listen to the sounds of the echoing in the empty Qs! Hang in there.

I appreciate LTMT posting and keeping people informed since I was interested in this company and there seems to be somewhat of a discrepancy between what some people experience at SS compared to what is advertised. Does make one wonder sometimes.

Are they what I have always referred to as granny panties? Or are they the super tiny G-strings? Or the boy boxer type?

Do they have to be a certain size to be considered "big girl?"

Actually, I dislike any of the terms such as grow a pair, pull up your big girl panties, take it like a man, etc. I thought this board was for sharing experiences, asking questions, vents, etc., and answers like those really don't help anyone, but as another quaint phrase instructs us all, opinions are like **** and we've all got them.

for MTs, perhaps it is not because they are rapidly growing with big new accounts, but instead because they do not know how to keep the employees they have. In all fairness, the people themselves that I have dealt with in person are wonderful, and the pay is always on time, usually early, but if the pay is only 1/2 of what it should be, then the point becomes moot. I cannot tell my landlord or the utility company to just hang in there, it will get better (as I am told by my PM). So if my experience helps, I'm glad to relate it.

Yep, just like you I have NJA already. Have only had 2 hours of work and I am 3-1/2 hours into my shift. Up until right before the holiday, I never ran out of work with SS but since then it has gradually gotten worse and worse. Other than NJA, I have been pretty content with SS until now. I have bills to pay and kids to feed and it just isn't cutting it. I guess it is time to start looking elsewhere. Well, better get off here and check to see if it is still NJA. Hang in there SS MTs and don't feel alone, lets hope the day gets better. I am just glad I have Monday off!

I have been a MT for 30 yrs. I had to stop working 4 yrs ago due to health issues, then finally had 2 surgeries which pretty much took care of the problem. The first report I tried this with, I was able to copy into a Word document. The second tiime I tried to cut and paste, the first report kept showing up. The third time I tried it, the first report copied over the report I had just transcribed and I lost the transcribed report and had to do it all over again. What am I doing wrong.
