Does Axolotl have an incentive plan? - Contemplating...

Hi--have seen mixed opinions about Axolotl from this board, especially lately. Considering switching from my current company as the M-Modal is awful and line count is suffering a lot because of it. What I'd like to know is:

- Does Axolotl have an incentive plan based on lines produced?

- Are full time employees required to work 40 hours a week and stick to a set-in-stone schedule, and are you required to work a weekend day?

- Is there plenty of work to go around and is M-Modal used?

Thank you for anyone who has the inside scoop as of how things stand now at Axolotl.

Out of a 3-day period, I had 13.5 hours downtime. There is no incentive plan. You are required to work a set schedule. They were trying to get several people to switch to a Tues-Sat shift to cover weekends. They have some accounts on M-Modal and plan to switch all to that eventually.

Most probably make more typing than get paid downtime, but how many other companies pay downtime? One account is M*Modal and others are in the planning stages. Will be months to a year or more before all accounts are M*Modal. Pay is hourly for M*Modal accounts currently, will eventually switch to line rate.

There is no incentive, but there are shift differentials. Benefits are better than anything I've seen offered lately.

They do expect you to work a schedule, but if you need off for appointments they work with you.

QA pretty strict and not always tactful in their replies, but I've worked where QA was worse.

Company not perfect. Everyone has different needs/expectations, but I think they are better than the majority of the companies out there currently.

Yes, some accounts are on M*Modal but there is not a plan to put all accounts on M*Modal.

Yes, we do all have a set schedule. Think about it ... if we all came and went as we pleased, how would Axolotl be able to guarantee work would be returned on time to any given customer??

There has been no discussion, to my knowledge, that the hourly rate will be converted to a line rate.

In my opinion, QA should be strict. I think Axolotl's QA process is one of the best in the business. They care about the quality of work that is returned to their customers - unlike some other MTSOs.

The company I am with requires 175 lph minimum, then if you do 275 lph you get 1/4 cent extra and then at 325 you get another 1/4. This is all straight typing. Maybe I'm just in one of my dissatisfied moods, but it doesn't seem like much extra -- at their top tier you'd only make 1/2 cent more per line. Maybe I have it great and just don't realize it. ...

This means 65% will see decrease and/or paid minimum wage. They are touting this as the great new comp (local Burger King is advertising job for $10/hour). Anyone find out if the QC percentage is just for blanks or include all sent to QA including Audio issues, etc, and will EQA be included. Is it only me or is anyone else losing serious money here? for the past 6 months I have NOT been able to make more than 950 dollars a month take-home. now with the new program my pay is even less. Please, is this happening to anyone else or am I being singled out. no matter what I do I cannot make more than 220 to 250 dollars a week in may paycheck, and am onily getting paid twice a month. I am short about 6 hours with mmodal now. IS IT JUST ME they are doing this to? ...

Recently started with Axolotl (now part of United Health Group). I have 18 years experience and the account they put me on has to be THE WORST I have ever experienced, 99.9% horrible ESL's, on top of which their M*Modal platform is very, very slow. I have worked at other companies using M*Modal and did not find this to be the case with them. This account is VR and they pay by the hour because apparently the dictators and platform are so bad, an MT can't make any money by the line. Also ...

2 MTs are filing a TAA petition. 3 are needed to apply online ourselves. It is just a petition, nothing against the employer and, if nothing comes of it, at least we stood up to let the federal government know we are losing our jobs to overseas and due to technology. The way it looks to me, they give me a target to hit over 4 days, which (I don't need the particulars of how they arrived at it, but I get them anyway) pretty much reflects my daily average. Okay so now I work all day today, tomorrow, Sunday and Monday, making my average each day and THEN, at the end of Monday, if I'm able to get in another 100 lines, I will get 3 cents for those 100 lines??? So I work all day on my two days off for 3 dollars? Have I got that straight ...
