Does anyone out there know of any company that has CLINIC hem/oncology accounts? I don't want acute care/oncology, but clinical oncology only, as I have no hospital experience whatsoever! Thanks!

I spent years on a 20 doc clinic, and the jump to 500 doc acute/oncology same, no difference. Just jump in, it will work, trust me.

There's really not much difference, inpatient or outpatient. Clinic notes usually cover just about any labs/tests/meds/procedures that would be done in a hospital setting, so you already have that knowledge. The only difference is you might get op notes with acute care, but they're easy to learn.

Thanks so much for the 2 replies. I figured that might be the case, but just wanted to get some feedback. Any suggestions for companies who have good hem/oncology accounts? I've read so many bad reviews on the ones that usually hire like Nuance, TTS, etc., but would like to know if there are any really good ones out there that might be hiring for hem/oncology. Thanks so much!

I've found that clinic oncology with a few docs can really burn you out with boredom. The hospital has more variety, but takes longer to build up speed.

I haven't worked for Nuance or TTC but have heard more good things about TTC than Nuance.

Clinic onc accounts would mostly be M-F scheduling whereas acute care would be any shift and weekends, so it depends on what scheduling best fits your needs. For clinic Onc, try these: InHealth CDS, Iridium Services (MDinTouch), and wordZXpressed. They have clinic Hem/Onc and Rad/Onc accounts. InHealth CDS and Iridium put you on an account to cover all docs on that account and wordZXpressed assigns you to certain docs.

I just found out today when I had no work with my smaller company that Nuance took over all the work starting today. I found out they knew about it 2 months ago and didn't tell us. with 1 other girl, and then the QA girl types on this clinic also. I still have not figured this out. We keep the work caught up and this QA girl gets on there and types with us when there is nothing to type. I mean there can be 10 jobs there and she will get on to help us type 10 jobs. My company makes me type any other clinic that is behind and this being the holiday, we have been given an extra 45-50 jobs to type from other clinics and the QA girl is nowhere to be seen ...

Has anyone started to get more work in the last year (in a clinic setting)? It was steady for me a few years ago, and now I am overwhelmed with the amount of dictation I have!!
